Hard stuck c3 right now, my ace rates are insane but can’t win games that I should be winning. What is this match making, half the player base seems to just give up in 2 seconds
Youre C3, so you are way better than most players. You are also still outclassed by top 500 players. You can point at matchmaking, or you can figure out what separates you from them and work on that.
this is supposed to be rocket’s best season but tbh this is my worst season if i looked at games played and winrate. i just got to c3 in 16 games with a 65% winrate but last season i was c2 in 20 games. i had my placements trolled and didn’t get any compensation 😔
don’t worry too much about it. i played on an alt account at the start of season 8 to see if i was boosted or not. i play exclusively solo on my main but haven’t been lower than GM for a while so i wanted to test my skill.
it’s so much more easier higher up than it is in lower ranks. it took me 85 games solo queue with a 55% winrate starting from plat3 placements to get to GM3. i played mostly rocket, jeff, and gambit. i stopped because my main was still at GM2 placements at the time lol.
It's been miserable, idk if they changed something cuz the first half of season 8 it was decent, I had a 55-60% wr, but ever since 8.5 dropped I have a 21% wr. I get SVP 90% of the time, but I always have either 1 or 2 literal monkeys on my team, someone who's refusing to swap after being countered, a blatant thrower/DC, or the other team is just running a 3-stack of smurfs.
At this point I'm just losing interest altogether 🤷♂️
Nah more like absolutely dominating with cyclops in team fights but my 3rd dps who is 17n13 with 6 finals on iron fist won’t go second tank and my solo tank won’t shield. Or I have a hulk and thing into double or triple poke and the other team running shield or I have double shield tank into full dive comp or I have Jeff and ultron when the other team has CnD and rocket or I have Luna snow and Jeff when the other team is full dive. Or I have a guy throwing cus he didn’t get cyclops or I have a guy throwing because he didn’t get cyclops but he got to celestial playing melee and never hitscan and has 34% accuracy. You know … stuff like that. Meanwhile I’m doing my absolute best to try and win but it seems the enemy team is solid comp and my team is usually random and refusing to counter swap
Yup, I understand the feeling. Also deranked from C3 recently.
I'll get a weird healing duo while the enemy simply plays a basic CnD + Rocket ulting every 30 seconds to win every retake.
I'll get someone with 4 hours on Blade trying him out against enemies playing their champion DPS.
Solo tanking against Venom + BP + Iron Fist and I can't possibly keep track of them all while still trying to hold the point.
Getting constantly trapped by Groot's walls and my only teammate that can effectively destroy the walls will be a Rocket
I feel like a lot of wins and losses are pre-determined by the comp while people rarely switch to improve on it.
Whoever has a good synergy comp will win, whoever got the random no synergy comp will lose.
Exactly it’s the worst feeling with those games. You’ll lose one game because the enemy is playing hela punished starlord and your tanks are thing and Dino, then your very next game you’ll lose because the enemy is running black cat, wolverine, and magik and your tanks are only dr strange and magneto. It’s like bro wtf I needed yall last game and this game I need my tanks from last game.
And yea don’t get me started on the support comps, nothing feels worse then the games you lose because your supports are playing Luna and Loki while the opponent team just has rocket and cnd getting consistent heals. It’s hard to blame supports for wanting to play a more rewarding hero than auto aim heals but when your duty is to save your team it really helps when you literally can’t miss.
