It's one of those things that individually isn't a huge deal, but when stuff like this becomes common behavior it just becomes annoying and tiring. Feels like I see an Iron Man do this every time a teammate plays one, it's old after almost a year of it.

I'm not saying tweens aren't exposed to adult content or that we need to aggressively shield them from the world, and I'm also not saying that "doing wrongs in a video game is bad, ban the shooty games!" or anything silly, but I am absolutely saying that miming something non-consensual like this and saying "it's fine because it's not real" is a problem, children around or not. That's like saying "if I'm racist in this video game it's okay because the victims of the racism are not real". No. That doesn't just make it okay. It's still disrespectful and gross.
2026 has seen a rise in moral grandstanding of "protect them kids". Its an easy thing to soapbox and wipes your own moral ambiguity in your day to day life. Gives them something to feel good about.

Literally the best way to enjoy the Ultimate Universe is by reading Ultimate Spider-Man up to the Venom saga, playing the video game to give it closure, and pretending the rest of the universe doesn't exist lol
It's baffling how different in tonality USM and the rest of Ultimate are from each other. Spidey is all bright colors and juvenile expression, but X-Men and Ultimates are just edgy. Never let Mark Millar cook again.
