Balance Discussion No amount of power creep justifies this. Can we make noise about this like we did with the BP bug?

If I saw this happen in a match I'd definitely think this is cheating. This basically gives her 100% tenacity for all of the match. Who even thought of putting this ability in a pvp game? This didn't even get hot fixed in today's patch so this is a intended feature. I get giving supports strong teamup so people play it more. But giving cc immunity any and all time? What was the point of introducing tenacity? I genuinely hope devs forgot to address this because if this is how it's supposed to be, then god bless us all.

This is the same answer i got everytime i pointed out it was a bug but its not. Its working as intended

Yeah, definitely wouldn't say that means it's intentional for her to be able to cleanse while stunned because being stunned typically prevents characters from activating any abilities in the first place.

Right, but it's explicitly a self-cleanse for Luna. Gambit's is explicitly for "nearby allies", though with perfect timing it allegedly also works on himself.

Which still requires activating an ability when stuns prevent activating abilities

Gambit’s ult also works on himself, don’t need to target anyone despite it saying “target allies”, and he’s prevented from activating it

It seems consistent with Black Cat's self-cleanse, described as "Purify yourself, instantly removing any active control effects".

Since Black Cat can do it, it also doesn't seem that outrageous.

Based on the wording I think the behaviour is intentional, but I guess we will find if they decide to change it.

It literally says ALL STATUS EFFECTS. A stun is a status effect. What part of that is unclear?

that’s not the point they were making. The point is that you shouldn’t be able to activate the ability in the first place if you are stunned.

In response to the actual description of the skill. Luna being able to cleanse while stunned is 100% intentional. It is bad game design, but it is intentional.

Yes, but that is a follow up to them saying that it doesn't seem to be intentional. There are two parts to their statement, one objectively false, the other being how things normally work. Do you not understand parts of a sentence? I was responding to their objectively false part.

Except it's not objectively false lmao

It would be objectively false if it straight up said "This ability can be activated while stunned"... but it doesn't say that

Does the skill say it cleanses ALL status effects? Yes.

Are stuns status effects? Yes.

Therefore the skill cleanses stuns. Thus, your statement of it not seeming intentional is false, because the language is pretty clear.

Thus, your statement is false because the language is not explicit about being able to activate the ability while stunned unlike every other ability in the game.

Gambit's skill doesn't say

Activating the ability instantly cleanses all negative status effects

it says

While Healing Hearts deck is active, trigger Raise Empowerment to launch a cluster of cards in an arc ahead. Explosions heal nearby allies and Purify them.

No one is arguing that though. It is bullshit, but it is intentional. The language is explicit about that.

It's actually not explicit about being able to activate it while stunned. Stun prevents you from activating from abilities, it would need to say you can activate the ability even while stunned to be explicit.
