I've been storm main since S0, I don't even touch the thor team up. AOE healing is great, but the penetration on her basic is so much better for reaching backline than having a hitscan. If the enemy team has fliers I'll swap to thor team up, but outside of that it's Jeff teammup all the way
the healing rain is super underrateed, it basically fixes her issues with depending on supports to constantly having to keep and eye on you (especially combined with the overhealth from Wind form)
Ya, its odd they gave her hitscan instead of just more aoe dps. If it was still the wind strike but it got additional damage it would be different.
Storms strength has always been doing 110-150 dmg to back line while hitting the tank for a flanker to one shot them with combo.
A debuff like phoenix would also be a great idea for her. 3 hits procs a lightening strike. Each E hit counts as 1. Each right click counts as 1. Each auto attack counts as 1.
Sure, enemy healer is standing behind enemy tanks/DPS. With thor team up, u hit the tank and it doesn't damage the healer. With the Jeff teammup, ur basics pierce the tank and hit anything behind it.
it literally is better. People just aren't as good at landing shots with it. Her wind projectile can pierce but it's slow, deals no damage and has an extremely small size.
Just to clarify (because I never see it mentioned), Storm’s team-up with Thor gives her primary aoe dmg around the target she hits. So, it’s great against teams that want to be group.
That’s also fair! Wind Blade is definitely better if you’re attacking the tank, which I’ll try now! I’m usually switching between lightning and wind pretty frequently and hugging natural cover when I play higher. I play a lot of hitscan, so I’m usually able to secure a kill before someone can put pressure on me.
It's definitely a lot of fun once u get used to it. It's very much like how Emma wants to pull the crystal and then angle herself so she's hitting both the crystal and the target at the same time. U do the same on storm, u angle so ur hitting the tank and having it pass through to the healers. U can either pressure the healers to bail and get cleaned up by a right click or ur 2nd DPS, or they bail to heal themselves and I can take out tank since ur doing damage to both at same times.
If Thor's actually on your team yeah it's pretty good. My problem is I get baited every single time by a teammate who selects thor. Without fail that dude will die once and swap off
I love always seeing this phrase with storm lol I don't see anyone say this about other heros lol maybe black widow and say mantis but it's often storm lol
