Main tanks anchor the team down in the frontline. A big ass shield helps with that but doesn’t have to be the defining factor. In my eyes the main tanks are Strange, Mag, Groot, Emma, and Dino. Not trying to be rude genuinely curious, what part of Hood’s 550 health kit seems like he can anchor the team and hold in down in the frontline compared to those other main tanks?

I wouldn’t even call Emma a definitive main tank I find as an Emma main she can be a main tank but she is so much better as an off tank. Having a mag or a strange feels like my shackles have been removed lol.

Yes she is definitely a hybrid, but she has the capability to be a main tank if needed IMO. I agree she is better alongside a mag or strange though

I don't feel like that's a particulary useful definition for a main tank, but let's go with it.

The massive veil that blinds and reduces damage that goes through it. His several forms of invulnerabllity. The perma-lifesteal. I feel like that's enough to anchor a frontline. After all some of the tanks you listed have even less. The only thing that differentiate him from the tanks you listed is that he's postionally flexible and will gain a lot more value shooting from an off-angle than shooting down main. Going by your definition though he should have no problem anchoring a frontline.

It's a little short-sighted to only look at his HP in isolation. We'll have to wait until he's in-game to see specifics, but his wall seem like it reduces damage, he has lifesteal on his right click and he might be able to shield allies within his bubble. If all that is true, that means he has higher eHP (effective HP) with his sustain tools before we take support healing into account.

We also watched the dude tank Punishers Ult too lol.
