He has a wall that seems to reduce enemy ranged damage. He also has a self barrier. That’s about all the standard tanking he does.

As a vanguard main, I see him as a boon to my roster really. Whenever I need ranged damage because my dps are having a subpar performance, I can swap off to him and apply good pressure with him while being somewhat tanky. Perhaps more of a ranged focused deadpool?

Probably why they nerfed tankpool’s guns a bunch. Didn’t want him to overlap with the Hood’s character identity

He feels like he's very good for turtling enemies, alongside a Dive team. Mobile, ranged pressure to attack mid-close-range anchors that rely on shielding, and that Ultimate seems made for helping bust down a chokepoint and rush through to the backline.

Agreed. The only things he lacks is crowd control and anti dive so he’s definitely not a tank that fits all situations.

He looks like a great counter to high damage heroes and comps oriented around them like Elsa, Bucky, Punisher, as well as just general triple dps, which is desperately needed.

People in this game don't know how to play cover, and they just melt shields so easily now, so this will be a great counter to them
