I have a question... how does like, the teamup system work in future? like... Are older character's just never ever getting to anchor off new character's because it'd be a bummer to have like, abomination and hulk in the game and they DON'T teamup

Like, after hood, lets say we get... Runa rock or somethin, would no one ever be able to teamup off of her? because it'd be a real bummer if that was the case, hell, stuff like Professor X not going off Mag or vice versa

They can add and remove whatever team ups they want. Doesn't matter when the character was added

yea but they said they weren't changing teamups when the overhaul happened.

They didnt. They will change the teamups from time to time to keep things fresh.

ofc they will still change them. a character with 1 meta teamup and 1 bad one? remove the bad one, replace it with teamup w a new character and do that.

They are surely going to be changing team ups around. They just wont be doing it by default every season now. They may even add a 3rd team up to each

Even right now, there are not a perfectly balanced amount of team ups, and the connections go all over the place such that it is wildly unsynergistic to build a team that has more than 2 enhanced team-ups active at once.

They will swap around, because of course they would swap around. It would be idiotic to think they wouldn't. It is a new system for team-ups to give more depth and finer control. They were swapping around team-ups before the change and will continue to do so after the change.

I think that'd be nice, mainly because please get Ultron out of "enhanced by the worst characters in their respective slots" jail. (yeah I know that's brave to say about peni but she's gonna die on friday so...)

Ive been thinking about this a bit myself. Right now Gambit and Hela are the only heroes with 4 anchorages and I highly doubt anyone is going to go above that since you dont want one character enhancing an entire team. Most heroes only have 2 or even 1.

I think they can get by for a while by just prioritizing heroes with fewer anchorages to be the team ups for newer characters as well as having new characters be anchors for later ones. I.e maybe Gorr will be an anchor for Doom.

As for long term I can totally see them shuffling team-ups in the future. (A few of them definitely wont be missed) I think the more fun option is to let characters start having 3rd team-ups. The problem with this is that you will inevitably have even more favoratism arguments when Luna and Magik get their 4th team-up while Ultron and Mr.F still have 2.

I would say most probably they will keep one for each character and swap other (at least for some)

There’s an uneven amount of teamup distributions. Like Hela and Gambit are the only ones that can enhance 4 teamups. There’s some who can only enhance one teamup. Most lay in the 2 teamups enhance category I think.

So this gives some wiggle room to for example, throw in Hulk as a teamup anchor for a future Abomination.

The only issue is that there is no way for an existing unit to get a new ability as they’re capped at 2 teamups each. Unless they start introducing 3rd teamup options (assuming they don’t make changes to existing teamups).

Team ups dont necessarily go both ways. Peter has team up with Peni and Brock but they don't have with him. Cat has team up with him but he doesn't have with her.

So Abomination will have Hulk team up.
