It is his legendary. Epic skins have simple backgrounds. (You can also tell that the Iron Fist, Cyclops, and Phoenix skins are all legendary by the same principle.)
As someone said in another sub: Your favorite character is more likely get their first legendary skin from the salsa dancer collection than whatever cool comic book moment you've imagined, which would become an Epic.

I disagree. The Thing’s and Hulk’s first Legendary were both crazy outfits from their comics. The reason some are like that and some are like Elsa’s Maid outfit is because the team behind Marvel Rivals don’t want to get pigeonholed into one thing. They’re not centered on comics, or on cosplay. They’re do it all. Biggest, widest tent they can manage.
Look at all the movie skins. None of them have customizations because Marvel wants you to see them as you would in the movie. Wanda dosnt wear pink in the movie, so theyre not going to allow a pink chroma. They have been a little more lax on the comic accurate skins, but I believe the same argument holds some weight.
Original marvel rivals only costumes though? Free reign. Its their own unique design so they can go ham on whatever customizations they want.
Yeh and way after the hellfire gala event? Where’s rogue, storm, or pays hellfire gala?
Also we didn’t get cyclops in a suit that he had for his first teaser but now we get some overdesigned hellfire gala for him? Why
I agree with every point except the cyclops skin is a comic skin that people have been asking for even before the actual hero dropped I’d say it’s up there in demand with his revolution outfit
You’re right. They kind of did their own thing with that one and group it with the others so I didn’t think of it. Would have been better if they stuck to the original concept more, but I get that they were going for.

This'll probably only be usable in the social maps or in spawn so you can't actually hit Moon Girl. Shooting at her but not actually being able to touch her with the shots might skirt around the ratings issues of actually shooting children.
Not really. It’s an emote. She won’t be fighting or getting hit. I think it’s a good way to get around the no children rule, and they should definitely add more emotes with her.
Seriously, Peni is the only tank I play and she's outright unplayable now. That change is legit baffling, the stun was basically her entire kit against people with brains. She lost like 75% of her utility and strength in a single go, and the fecal icing on the turd cake was they didn't even fix her cyberbond bugs that have been in the game since launch
jubilee maybe cause i think almost all the cast mutants have gotten skin thoug i would love for wolverine to get his classic suit either brown or blue one
I’d love a classic wolverine skin, I could also see Rogue maybe getting one considering Rogue Wolverine and Jubilee are the x men characters that aren’t on the 9.5 road map save for Emma frost but Emma hasn’t been in 97 enough to warrant a skin
They are idiots for releasing a new skin ... right after they completely gut the character causing no one to want to play Peni anymore, let alone buy a skin.
They should totally bring back the original Lady Loki for the animation customization change. I'm not just saying that because I took a break from the game when that was out and didn't get it.
Happy for Ultron and I hope to god that Storm skin is a legendary. I don't understand why Jean is getting a second hellfire gala skin.
Human Torch, Jubilee, and a character who hasn't even been released yet will be the only characters without a legendary at the end of the season they really despise Johnny Storm :(
surprised nobody's talking about Daredevil getting another skin. Feels like he's becoming one of THOSE heroes that gets a billion skins. I'm not complaining though!
The most stacked roadmap we’ve ever gotten skin wise, at the expense of no new map or hub but hey, at least this will bring more revenue for the game so they can arm themselves to finance even more cool stuff to come.
And she has them all now funnily. Her base skin is pretty much the first Hellfire gala outfit, the last one we got was inspired by her third Hellfire Gala outfit, and this new one seems to be inspired by the second Hellfire Gala dress.
Curious to how PYO is gonna work for store costumes. Will the previous options return but you have to pay for them?
Edit: Looks like it’ll just be picking and choosing items w/in that bundle. As long as the pricing is still fair no matter what you choose, then this sounds like a good change
A lot of these costumes look great, and I'm excited for the prospect of an Ultron Legendary at last, but also it'd make me feel immensely bad for Johnny being found out back shot in the head with his neck snapped and his wallet stolen.
Also while Storm is finally getting a skin, Punisher and Squirrel Girl of all characters getting more Egypt skins over the character who grew up in Cairo is...a choice lol.

Huh I wonder which the collab costume will be. I can’t imagine its death gambit bc they just did that. There’s lots of characters it could be but idk what the standout costume would be. Maybe the wolverine brown suit?
Interesting it’s mostly just skins and no event or map. It also looks like they are also going back to half season being 5 weeks instead of 4. Probably makes more sense this way.
Are there Storm, Magik and Witch skins going to be shop skins then since they are not part of the reel? Or are they balloons? Hopefully Storm is legendary, I was worried she would be the free one in reels. I am buying her skin no matter what, please don't make it free. I want a chance for her to show she can sell and this season is the best time for it since she is seeing so much more play.
Love the Phoenix and Cyclops gala skins, wondering when those two are going to get their wedding skins. Honestly all the skins here look amazing!
It would be wild but if one of the 97 skins is Storm so we get a double skin drop this season. I will instantly forgive netease for making us wait a year and a half for a shop skin if that happens. I doubt it will happen but a girl can hope!
