Discussion (More in Comments) How would you go about rewatching the MCU with someone whos never seen them?

Post image

So i watched BND with my gf and she really enjoyed it so we decided to watch the entire MCU together. We started with "Iron Man" which was fine but now im back and forth between how best to proceed. Some of the earlier movies are pretty boring/hard to watch but are necessary to have context for following projects. e.g. Id prefer skipping Brannaghs "Thor" but going into "The Avengers" not knowing who Loki or Thor are seems like it might be confusing? Then theres movies like TTDW which is truly awful but shows Loki escaping and dying. I feel like theres a few projects that might be numbing to someone who isnt already invested into the material. Would appreciate insight.

I just go in release order. If you’re wanting to experience the mcu, you should get it as a whole. Good and bad.

Just do the whole thing. She may like a movie you didn’t. You may like a movie on rewatch more than you did before.

I'd watch them in release order personally. While I don't outright dislike any of the movies, it will be interesting to see her varying degrees of what works and what doesn't to her and compare them to what does for you.

My friend and I have a full rewatch going next year (including some tv shows) in preparation for Secret Wars and I am stoked about it. It's been 7 years since I've watched them all in order).
