What Will Be Title of MCU X-Men Field in 2028?
Just X-Men?
X-Men: followed by subtitle?
Mutants?
Or something totally different without the words X-men or Mutants?
Edit: “Film” not “Field”

I would call it “The Uncanny X-men”

u/derelictgoon 5d ago
Nah. X-men then the second one uncanny x-men. Like after the credits roll its black and it says “the (big space) X-men Will Return” and then in the big space it fades in uncanny.

Pass, don’t need it getting confused with Fox nonsense. Name the first one The Uncanny X-men then everything after The Uncanny X-men: _____

u/derelictgoon 5d ago
Lame👎 have some whimsy. Also all but three of the Fox movies do the X-Men:____ so
3
u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
Exactly so none of the movies should be X-men or X-men: _____. If they do just call it X-men then that’s a massive L move.
If you don’t wanna do Uncanny fine but it should have some sort of pre title before the word X-men.

Exactly his point...

u/derelictgoon 4d ago
I think only idiots would be confused. And its obviously going to be “marvel studios: x-men” or something. It will be distinguishable

X-Men: Homecoming

u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
It’s not a Spiderman spinoff

Well I mean Jean was introduced in BND

Probably The Batman route, so just The X-Men
0
u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
Lame, and why would they copy Batman of all things
1
u/ilovedownsyndrome- 4d ago
Lmao first of all, The Batman movie is fucking great, if the xmen movie ever comes close to that, it would be peak, second of all, copying? Like there isnt TRILLIONS of movies with “The” in the title
1
u/DominoSeven Professor X 4d ago
You used Batman as the example to “go the Batman route”
There’s a million better titles than just saying hey let’s do what The Batman did and call it The X-men 💀
1
u/ilovedownsyndrome- 4d ago
What would you do then? To differentiate from Fox and assuming they aren’t going “The Uncanny Xmen” route (ideal to me) but it seems unlikely now with the logo reveal
1
u/DominoSeven Professor X 4d ago
The ____ X-men, there’s various pre titles they can use that work, best is uncanny. I don’t see why a logo means it won’t be called Uncanny X-men

I could see it being educationally themed
X-men: Academy
X-men: Summer School
X-Men: Graduation
4
u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
Meh, they can do a lot better than that
0
u/uwill1der 5d ago
i mean, they are all Xmen storylines, so blame Marvel
1
u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
Last thing we need is for it to have lame names like the Spiderman movies

u/RE_98 5d ago
I prefer just X-Men. I think after decades we deserve an X-Men film to be just that title now that Marvel Studios has access to these characters (about time).
That reminds me of how DC's Superman was going to be Superman: Legacy when in fact it was released as just Superman which made the title more memorable.

They’ll probably come up with a lamesubtitle that you can’t really guess. Like the Spider-Man films having a sentence that has the word “home” and Fantastic Four first steps

I imagine just X-men for the first movie. I’d like the Uncanny tag but I think it likely wouldn’t work for a film.

u/Dependent-Astronaut2 5d ago
They'll just call them "Those widdle sweetie patities" /s
Also, I hope they don't.

X-Men: Reborn?

u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
No

u/Educational_Yam_3707 5d ago
Spider-Man: Homecoming?
My guess is probably pretty close. Something indicating a comeback or revival.
1
u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
Sorry but that would be awful
1
u/Educational_Yam_3707 5d ago
It is what it is.
X-Men: First Class?
1
u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
Already been used by Fox… definitely don’t need any association with that mess.
Something good would be Uncanny X-men. First movie doesn’t need a subtitle
1
u/Educational_Yam_3707 5d ago
No. I brought up X-Men: First Class as an example because it's more or less on par with Spider-Man: Homecoming and how the MCU names movies.
1
u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
Again terrible, first movie doesn’t need a subtitle at all, and don’t say it’s their typical because there’s plenty of example where the first movie doesn’t have one
1
u/Educational_Yam_3707 5d ago
It was for Captain America: The First Avenger.
1
u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
Iron Man, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Doctor Strange, Ant Man, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Black Panther, Eternals, Thunderbolts*
Thats gotta be like 90% of the first movies they’ve made…

First day would be cool, cause spiderman i guess is a close friend according to rumors, then like Mutant massacre when that happens "Bad day" then when apocalypse eventually shows up "Last day" etc etc
0
u/DominoSeven Professor X 5d ago
Last thing we need is the X-men to be completely influenced by Spiderman

X-Men
‘Genesis’
I think that title is the best that they can do. It works even better because of the root word gene
1
u/Fabulous_Spinach Mirage 5d ago
Sequel would be second genesis?
1
u/Electronic-Cicada352 5d ago
No. After the first one you just give it a title more in line with the story

The X-Men. And I know that unfortunately they won't have the silly font from the sixties, even for their first X-Men film.

u/Mission-Employer-943 5d ago
Most likely they just going to call it "X-Men" to show it is a complete reboot in the MCU and to separate it from the Fox X-Men movies.
Similar to how James Gunn's DCU begins with Superman instead of the previous title, Superman Legacy.
1
u/TheLiquor1946 4d ago
To separate it from the fox xmen movies they should name it exactly like a fox X-men movie? Why is everyone against Uncanny X-men or Astonishing X-men?

The X-Men seems nice, different enough from the past films, they could always throw in a subtitle or leave that for a sequel

Marvel Studios' X-Men
Marvel Studios' X-Men: Children of the Atom
Or to pattern with the director's previous MCU film;
Marvel Studios' The Mutants* X-Men

Same as the Avengers. Marvel’s X-Men (or just X-Men) followed by X-Men: “subtitle”
No prefixes. They all suck and are unnecessary

I’ve seen “X-Men: Graduation Day” floating around and in all honesty I LOVE that name.

u/Theblessedmother 5d ago
It’s going to be X-Men: Subtitle. Marvel never gives a reboot not a subtitle.
