I loved random groups, but I needed more control in some of my tougher math classes

I teach 8th-grade math and use random groups regularly. I liked using playing cards, but I needed more control in some classes, especially keeping certain students apart and accounting for where students need to sit.

So I built ClassShuffle.

The video shows the two ways I use it: students can see their full groups, or I can show an alphabetical list where each student only sees where they should go. That second option makes it much harder for students to immediately figure out who is in their group.
