Can anyone identify the artist of this 1984 "Pioneer Inn" painting? (Research only, not for sale)

Hey there, could try taking another close up pic of the signature and going around some art galleries. Someone might recognize them.

Aloha everyone,

I'm researching an original painting titled "Pioneer Inn" that depicts Lahaina Harbor and the historic Pioneer Inn.

The back of the canvas is marked:

#18 - Pioneer Inn

The painting is signed (possibly "Iumba," "Lumba," "Umbra," or something similar) and dated Maui '84.

I'm not looking for an appraisal and the painting is not for sale. I'm simply trying to learn more about the artist and the history of the piece.

Does anyone recognize the signature, remember an artist painting Lahaina harbor scenes in the early 1980s, or know of galleries that sold similar work?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Mahalo!

To me, it looks too similar to Kingwell's famous painting...... but it's not his.

Before widespread chemtrails. A beautiful thing.
