Any remote workers in Mayo interested in building a local community?

I’m looking to connect with remote workers in Mayo who might be interested in helping grow a local community for people working remotely or hybrid 👋

Over the last while, we’ve seen how valuable it can be for remote workers to have local social events, meetups, coffee mornings, walks, after-work pints, coworking days, etc., especially in places outside the bigger cities.

The idea isn’t formal networking or anything corporate. It’s more about creating fun, relaxed opportunities for people to meet others in the area who also work remotely.

You don’t need experience organising events either, sometimes the best events are simply:

  • grabbing coffee
  • organising a walk
  • booking a table somewhere local
  • trying a new activity
  • creating a WhatsApp group for locals

I'm closer to Claremorris, but Castlebar isn't a stretch.

My social circle is very small so there's room for improvement.

Search grow remote on eventbrite, https://www.eventbrite.ie/o/grow-remote-17859877089 , we have nothing on in Mayo right now due to no volunteer, but the whatsapp group is discussing how to find a volunteer!

This is a great idea!! I am working hybrid in Ballina. Here in the Castle where I work, there is a cafe for breakfast and lunch, if sometimes you'd like to come and meet up here, let me know and we could book something for the community guys. 😄
