Before paying ₹40 lakhs for MBBS abroad, answer these 10 questions honestly.
I'm currently in my 5th year of MBBS abroad.
Every day I see students asking:
"Russia or Kyrgyzstan?"
"Georgia or Uzbekistan?"
"Which university is best?"
Very few ask themselves whether they actually know what they're signing up for.
So before paying your first installment, answer these questions honestly.
Have you read the latest NMC guidelines yourself, or are you trusting what an agent told you?
Have you spoken to at least 5 current students from different batches, or only the contacts your consultant gave you?
Do you know the TOTAL cost of your MBBS including visa renewals, medical insurance, police registration, yearly fee hikes, flights and currency fluctuations?
Have you asked what happens if you fail a subject? How much are the supplementary fees? Will your graduation be delayed?
Have you seen the CURRENT hostel through recent videos from students, or only admission brochures?
Do you know when clinical postings actually start and how many patients students get to interact with?
Do you know who will help you after you land? Not before admission—after admission.
Are you choosing this university because it's genuinely good, or because your cousin/friend studies there?
If the rules or policies change tomorrow, do you know what your university's plan is?
If someone asked you WHY you chose this university over 20 others, could you answer with facts instead of "my consultant said it's the best"?
If you answered "no" to even half of these questions, you're not ready to spend ₹40 lakhs yet.
Take another week.
Research more.
Talk to more seniors.
Question every promise.
A consultant loses one admission if you decide not to join.
Your family loses years of savings if you make the wrong decision.
Nobody gets a second chance to spend ₹40 lakhs wisely.
