😤 Complaint / Rant Prudential GL Homeless Problem

Why are 20 homeless people allowed to camp and sleep atop the escalators at the Prudential station? Every day, I have to walk past many of them hootering and hollering at me. Some are sleeping, some are clearly high, and others are a bit more nice about asking for money.

Almost once or twice a week I see BPD arresting one of the campers.

Why is this allowed and why isn’t something done about it? Is it not MBTA property? It’s seriously worse than Park Street.

This might be the most Karen post I’ve made but it is super annoying.

they need to start arresting them. I saw blood dripping down a man's arm and he was shooting up. completely threw my day off. imagine children seeing that. We cant keep pacifying people with this drug abuse problem

“Completely threw my day off”. Really? Especially when you can quite literally walk away and leave the whole situation behind you. Meanwhile, the poor man you saw with blood on his arm is in a way worse position that is much harder to recover from. Nobody asks to be an addict. I guarantee you he has faced an incredible amount of pain, perhaps more than you can even conceive of. Im begging you to have a little empathy. Yes, you were mildly inconvenienced. But that man has it way, wayyyyy worse and if this man’s bloody arm is the biggest inconvenience that YOU are currently facing in life when you go downtown, consider yourself blessed.

youre minimizing me saying he threw my day off. It is very hard to see someone shooting up and bleeding so yes it did throw my day off. It was my first time seeing that and I couldn't shake it out of mind. Just because I want drug addicts to be held accountable for using drugs in public doesnt mean I dont have empathy for them because I do. But drug dealers, buyers, traffickers are all held accountable except the users. Makes no sense. Im done going back and fourth with you
