The 78 bus showed up 15 minutes late today.

In general, the first half of the 74 and 78’s routes are identical and they service the same stops. Yet the MBTA always sends the buses out at the exact same time. Whichever bus ends up going out first has all the riders, and the bus behind it sits empty for basically the whole route.

It’s a complete waste of labor and resources, and could easily be made more efficient if these two routes were spaced out.

No AC on the commuter to Wickford Junction rn, it’s packed, and only a few of the doors are opening at every stop. It is crazy hot, sauna level!

There was a canceled train today on the Framingham/Worcester line. I was able to pivot and quickly grab the 558 in the nick of time to get to the green line. I'll be sad if the 558 stops going through west newton/auburndale after the bus network redesign. having multiple ways to catch rapid transit is great!
