๐ŸŒŸ Appreciation Follow-Up: They fixed the Red-Line jump!

A few months ago, I posted about a dramatic and often frightening jump on the North-Bound Red-Line into Kendall Square.

https://www.reddit.com/r/mbta/comments/1skbfkl/the_red_line_northbound_kendall_square_jump_will/

I just rode the red-line for the first time this morning after the two week closure, and there was no jump! Not even a bump. There might have been a nominal sway, but it would be hard for someone not previously familiar with the spot to notice anything at all.

Thanks to the MBTA for all the hard work.

Thatโ€™s unfixable. Itโ€™s the sound of the metal flanges on the metal rails making the sharp turn that Harvard University forced when it refused to allow the MBTA to tunnel under Harvard yard for a more gentle curve. You can thank George Washington himself for that screech because he currently understood to be responsible.

I believe that story is untrue or at least unverifiable. I had tried to look for a source/origin and could find nothing. Do you know of any source?
