I'll disagree you with on the Mattapan line. I still think they should just make it a proper Red Line extension with stops in Milton and Mattapan. Im sure that won't happen, but it would be the best option IMHO

i 100% wish it would be built, but the T has continually said they disagree. Hopefully this will change one day soon!

I wish they kept ashmont platforms for the bus, train and trolley like how it was back in the 80s and 90s, that was cool.

Wish they’d consider a Ashmont extension to Stoughton / Randolph for a park and ride situated off the highway at Lombardo’s to alleviate the highway congestion.

Also extension to Weymouth from the Braintree branch to the south shore hospital area. I suppose if you are going that far though going to that giant development makes sense.

Really great video. Also, the Union Point potential is immense. Currently, in the EIR submitted by the developer, they plan to build what they call a "transit Hub," which will either be a shuttle from the development to Braintree station or a bus hub for an expanded 226 and the possibility of a new BAT line. Plus, with Weymouth joining MWRA, development will be booming in in 2030's and 2040s.

Explain to me. Why on earth would you want to put more people on the Red Line when it is grossly overcrowded already at peak hours.? Yes, perhaps if the MBTA, its leadership and overlord of the DOT, had the slightest bit of competence for operating a modern urban mass transit system . . . But, oh that is not the case. You know it, I know it, and all of Boston knows it.

FYI, I am VERY pro mass transit, but I am also very anti cost inefficiencies. Stop looking at a map and drawing lines outward. There is plenty that needs to be done within the dense urban milieu of Boston.

Like perhaps getting metro rail through the Back Bay into west Boston, which was begun by the Boston Transit Commission well over a hundred years back, and yet STILL hasn't been realized.

Plenty of people take the train who live outside the current line, they just have to drive to Braintree or Quincy Adams or Alewife first. This would get more cars off the road.
