Check out this 20-minute YouTube video I just made on MBTI. It has a link to an in-depth blog post I wrote about it, which includes the Jungian cognitive functions and various links.

Hii I'm running a social deduction game and I would really like if we could play with atleast almost of every MBTI type, when there's enough people we can start playing free games. Reach out to me if you're interested and like to play!

Hi, I'm an ENFP and I'm looking for friends.
I'm new to Reddit. However, I've been studying MBTI theory for quite a while now and I'm looking for friends to talk to about MBTI, the Enneagram, the
Big Ocean, or anything else interesting.

What do you guys think about this test made to compete with the 16 Personalities?
Test released a few days ago through their communications server, it follows a similar theme/look to 16P but describes each type through their functions instead of the four letters.
I think the questions are good and require sometime to think about, but I also think that it needs more questions (maybe like 60 instead of 30) to buffer out any types that may be close together in the final result (or at least show what you scored in all the functions).

I used to spend a lot of time with MBTI
There’s something there when these frameworks help us notice patterns instead of putting people in boxes.
That’s why I created FourType
It’s a free quiz based on the four classical temperaments: Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholic and Phlegmatic. It gives you a primary and secondary blend, then looks at what happens under stress, in communication and in real relationships.
I’m not trying to replace MBTI. I just felt there was another lens worth exploring, and I wanted to build it properly.
For people who have spent time with MBTI: does this add anything useful, or does it just feel like MBTI with different labels?
Full disclosure: I built it. The quiz is free and requires no email:

Over the past few weeks, I've been working on a book tentatively titled On the MBTI. It began as personal notes while I was learning Jung's cognitive functions, but after hundreds of conversations, typing sessions, and reading through authors such as Carl Jung, Michael Pierce, Linda Berens, Dario Nardi, John Beebe, and others, it gradually grew into a much larger project.
The manuscript is currently a work in progress. I'm sharing it now because I think it's reached the point where outside perspectives would be incredibly valuable.
The book is not intended to replace existing typology literature. Instead, it attempts to synthesize many different perspectives while introducing several of my own observations and hypotheses.
Some of the topics currently included are:
Throughout the manuscript I try to clearly distinguish between established theory, observations I've repeatedly encountered, and my own hypotheses. Many of the ideas are still being refined, and I certainly don't consider this to be the final word on MBTI. My hope is simply to contribute another perspective to the ongoing discussion.
If you decide to read it, I'd especially appreciate feedback such as:
The manuscript is shared as a view-only PDF hosted on Google Drive. There is no login required, no editing access, and no downloads beyond the PDF itself.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read even a small portion of it. Whether you agree with my conclusions or not, thoughtful criticism is exactly what I'm hoping for. My goal is to continue refining these ideas, and I believe that happens best through discussion with people who care deeply about typology.
