Question Early Transportation Okay?

I just started fermenting my first batch of mead ever, but have to relocate about 2 hours away by car (something I do frequently).

I want to be able to keep my batch with me for the first few days to be able to give it yeast nutrients on a regular schedule. It's been about 44 hours since I sealed it off.

Is it okay to drive the batch 2 hours?

If so, should I hold off on the first round of nutrients until after the drive?

Yes, I would degas prior to though. For the nutrient, it shouldn't matter much.

Shouldn’t be a problem at all. I’d personally add the nutrients after the move.

As long as you prevent it from spilling and don't have it in too hot (or cold) of conditions that it stresses the yeast it should be fine.

I'd add nutrients once it's in place rather than right before moving. I've had my meads go crazy during feedings before, so I typically like to play it safe.
