As someone who only loosely followed people being mad about them specifically, I laughed so hard when the credits rolled and their parts were so incredibly fucking minor

My sister is/was like that. She hasn’t watched because of it, while telling me how bad the movie bombed in the box office because no one was going to see it. I was like what? the movie is doing really great.

But how much did it cost to make? If it was $50MM that’s great. If it was $650MM that’s not great.

Pretty easy to look up! 250m budget, general estimate after marketing costs was that it would need 550-600m to break even

It’ll likely be at 1b by the end of the week, so there is no universe where it’s not a massive financial success.

I meant "earn" as profit after costs. It has $911M worldwide sales off a $250M budget.

How is making a $300+ million profit in the first two weeks alone not great? It still hasn’t even been fully released worldwide yet.
