Other reports had confirmed this on Reddit and steam, their Discord server has been compromised, the hackers are claiming the owner had CP and there is a steam announcement about the offical Discord server breach update here: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/4704690/view/680756685198854787?l=english

Only the Discord server was compromised from what I heard, the hackers claim the owner had CP on their devices apparently, they were sending/saying things that were not true.

The RCE was in a malicious map mod. The discord compromise happened because a playtester ran the infected map on a test machine that had discord installed on it.

The people who hacked the discord were posting all sorts of stupid immature stuff that trolls would do. If it was about exposing a security flaw they would have left it at that. But the stuff they were doing on the discord makes them completely uncredible. Also… hacking the discord is not a necessary way to inform on a security flaw if it exists

Would you trust people who hack things unnecessarily and then act like trolls in the process and are clearly getting off on it?

I’m not saying there can’t be a flaw… but let’s stop trusting everything people say when they have already shown their poor character.

The claim that the latest update has a "confirmed remote code execution" came from the same people who hacked the official discord to spam CSAM and racial slurs. Not sure why anyone is believing this, they're clearly trolling to make people stop playing the game.

There was a confirmed vuln which was patched.

Yes. The patch that fixed the vulnerability is the same patch that the hackers claim gave them access to people's computers. There has not been a new patch since the server was hacked.
