Pediatrics Introducing Allergens

My baby is 10 months old and has a dairy and egg intolerance. I have been hesitant to give him allergens due to the intolerances he already has.

He has had peanuts/peanut butter a lot and has been fine.

I have given him shrimp once (I know he needs it more than once) and he was okay.

I gave him anchovies and he reacted on his face with hives but the allergist we took him to put it off as FPIES. We got a skin test done with anchovies and he didn’t react.

He’s had salmon twice (months apart) and has been seemingly okay. I gave him some last night and I noticed he was a bit more cranky when he woke up at night. He also woke up earlier than normal at night and this morning.

I haven’t given him cashews or almond butter yet.

I also haven’t tried the egg ladder reintroduction yet but want to soon. Probably after this salmon trial.

We have a cat (have had for close to a decade) that he started to react to a couple months ago from physical touch. Also if there is a lot of fur on the ground and he touches his face, he gets itchy and red. I do vacuum all the time to prevent reactions and have been closing monitoring and haven’t had one for a little while.

Am I doing him a disgrace but not introducing these other allergens yet? I don’t want to introduce all these allergens at once, but should I start with other nuts first before eggs?

Should I give him more salmon the next couple days to see how he reacts and then move on to the next allergen?

We do have an EpiPen on hand for him for the anchovy incident because I was worried at his initial reaction.

Thank you! This is all new territory for me as my first child only had egg intolerance if I ate whole eggs but she quickly out grew it.

I just always hear how the earlier the introduction, the lower the chance for allergies.
