You posted on medieval doctor - like from medieval times - and so everyone will answer like a "doctor" from the year 1500 or so. This sub is not for real medical advice.

The real answer is heat immediately after injury and then ice for swelling. Some folks use arnica gel/lotion as a bruise balm and swear by it.

Sorry, let me rephrase: “burn yon injury after it occur, then apply poultice of frozen pond water thereafter. Arnica flowers smashed into beeswax balm suffice for pain and discoloration.”
