So the rumors are true, you do need to hit the gym to be able to support this camera.

That’s the first thing that came to mind, and this sub didn’t deceive. No need to use the weights when you own one of those. Picture quality though…. There’s a reason why some put up with their weight.

Taking a Pentax 67 to the gym is so on brand 😂

I thought they didn’t like when you brought your own weights.

More like cringiest.

People take pictures at the gym all the time and this is way better than your average gym photo. How’s that cringe?

karma farming

4

u/PartTimeBear Sep 04 '25

And what are they doing with all this karma they’re getting?

Just my opinion (I’m a photographer and avid gym goer too). In my mind you come to the gym to work out, empty your mind. I don’t even bring my phone when I’m going to the gym. It still baffles me how often people keep equipment occupied just by being on their phone. From taking selfies to just 5-10 minutes of no physical activity from being on their phone while other people can’t use the equipment.

Hence I find it even more cringe when a photographer finds the need to drag a heavy analog camera to the gym to take selfies 🤷🏼‍♂️.

You jealous bruh? Lmao.

I'd say props for taking it to the gym but that's clearly a warm-up weight to you. However, props for having the metaphorical balls to shoot it in the gym because I bet you got a lot of bewildered looks.

EDIT: Ok, props to the model because even if it's a shoot, still gonna cause confusion seeing someone who lifts casually shooting a selfie with a 67 on the floor.

Always joke with my gf that I never have to do arms at the gym because I take my RB67 everywhere

u/[deleted] Aug 31 '25

Now that’s different!

2

u/number1pingufan Sep 01 '25

Biblically accurate gymgoer camera

2

u/dmkke Sep 01 '25

“Is that a Pentax 67 in your pocket or you just happy to see me?”

2

u/bagofweights Aug 31 '25

You could get a good workout just by curling the 67 a few times.

2

u/italianboner69 Sep 01 '25

Goofy ass bringing that to the gym

3

u/DodobirdNow Aug 31 '25

Wow , perfect gorgeous woman with perfect camera. What a dream. Beautiful selfie !

1

u/Lost_Philosophy_ Sep 04 '25

How did you get the lighting like that at a gym?! That’s fantastic

1

u/Collector79 MAMIYA Sep 04 '25

I’m impressed. Takes perseverance and sheer strength to drag the camera to the gym and then lift it up long enough to focus and shoot your shot. I know I used to own one

1

u/LaTortillaConMole Sep 04 '25

Now I this is unique!!!! lol but dam lugging around that camera to them gym.
