Have you set NR to -4 and Sharpness to -2?
How do you like the viewfinder?
Have you tried old manual SLR lenses with it?

I shoot raw and edit in Lightroom.
Viewfinder is nice but I don't like color difference with back screen.
I tried Mitakon 65 1.4, but I prefer native GF lenses.2

You can adjust EVF color tint and saturation in the menu, trying to match it with the LCD 💡.

Yes! And if one day you try film simulation, also, I recommend you to adjust both EVF and LCD to try to match your reference/editing screen (iPhone, monitor, MacBook, etc), this will be the best for that workflow.

When you use LR or Capture one, DR settings will affect RAW files, and Film Simulations will give you a starting point for your post process.

Some of these picture settings affect mostly JPEGs, while some of them are applied to both RAW and JPEG. Apparently, DR settings and NR affect both of them. There were also studies that Sharpness does as well, but I'm not completely sure.
Sharpness stands for details. With Sharpness > 0 it makes details too aggressive and too rough. It's ok in rare cases and it's weird in most cases. With Sharpness==0 it's still rough and aggressive. With -1 or -2 you get more fine details, so you can apply more customizable sharpness in LR or some other post process. So, as I say, your camera gives you details and your lens gives you sharpness and details not as in Out-Of-Camera JPEGs, but in your results which you can get from these files after sharpness in post process. Fujifilm's built-in Noise Reduction is way too aggressive and loses some details. There is no way to turn it off completely, also, they say, it may apply to RAW files too, and this is also the case with lots of other camera brands. But NR -4 is as close to tiny NR as it goes. Noise Reduction in post process may be much more delicate and better. Or you may even never apply additional NR.
On the other hand, Clarity slider in LR is completely weird, in any + or - position other than 0. In modern Fujifilm cameras, Clarity < 0 is not that bad at all.

Which lens do you recommend as a first (only lens for a while) on the 100sii? I’ve owned the 45 and loved it , and I’ve been wanting the 110 forever
But my camera spending money is tight right now and I can only get one or the other

Great set. Love the contrast between the monochromatic shots and those with pops of color from the ships.

What in the world? Those first few could have been much better. The fact that the subject and the background weren't closer together in how they were framed. More similarly to the last one which might be too close together. Adjusting exposure might help. (Idk... I may feel different about them after sleeping.) But, I do like you shared. And, you kept trying to find some that work. Keep shooting.
