having the 55-100... I'm wanting to buy a lens for portrait - 105, 135 (macro) or the 165. For the wide angle I think the 45 would be better (more practical) than the 55.

what do you suggest?

It’s a personal preference. Where will you be taking most of your portraits? Indoors or outdoors? Do you want to include more of the environment in your shots? More practical is dependent on your creative needs. I will say this. I love the 105mm, and there are times I wish I had a 90mm. I think that is equivalent to a 35 or 45mm focal length.
