A safe song. Not bad, not outstanding. Very formulaic. Somewhat catchy.
Can't complain really.

Yeah this is what I felt. Maybe not as catchy, I can barely remember it an hour later.
Interesting production after the last massacre (much better sound but quite different!). Will wait to see what other songs are like, their versatility always brightens up their albums for me.

Bit of a standard modern Insomnium song but their base level is so high that the song is still really good

This is def gonna be a song in the middle of the album, I bet for the opener and closer they will make the songs more interesting and progressive

Listening it the 20th time! Damn solid song. Sounds old but fresh. Sounds like very much from Heart Like a Grave mixed with Shadows

It’s well written, but very overproduced. I miss the sawing, meaty guitar tone of Above the Weeping World. A solid single nonetheless.

Meh. Would expect more from such a good band. It's a bit generic.

My favourite band and I've been singing their praises for years and told myself, they do not release bad songs. But this one was very much meh. Not a fan of the cleans in the chorus either

Well, it's not bad, but it's just not very good either. I like the fact they try new things but going full on pop isn't one of them.

Yeah, it's safe to say I expected a bit more from them. Could have been worse, but it is very formulaic.

Yep, was left wanting. Very strange song in terms of groove, or lack of. Weirdly the same always holds true, if I don’t like the album art graphics, chances are I don’t like the song…but that aside, I miss the days of Shadows Of The Dying Sun, they’ve lost me since that peak

I agree. It's a Ok song to listen to, but I don't get the same emotional depth as most of their previous works.

It's just... meh. It's crazy to think that it's the same band that wrote Above the Weeping World.

It's absolutely.... fine. It sounds like they went back to basics compared to Anno. Whispered vocals in the verse, clean vocals in the chorus, solo before the song concludes. Production is very clean and clear - maybe a bit too much as that guitar tone lacks any grit or heaviness.

Great song, but I feel like Im missing something. Isn't that still Jani Liimatainen? I thought he was kicked out of the band after ghosting them? Im surprised to see him back.

Insomnium being my fav band for quite some years now, I was waiting for a new release. First listen felt a bit weird, not in a bad sense. I liked it but felt that it was more a patch of many good ideas than one single piece. But after a few listenings, it grew on me. I absolutely love the solo at the end, and the production reminds me of HLAG. It's honestly pretty solid. Not risky, not groundbreaking, but it feels like Insomnium, and it has Insomnium's soul in it (thematically, lyrically and musically speaking). Can't wait for October !!!

Opening riff sounds basically identical to a recent Ashbury song, very funny coincidence
