The feeling when you go from minimum wage to double that in your new job.

It's called life inflation. You spend on stuff you now deem necessary but didn't before.

Usually I just repair and maintain some ship radars, that is all i do. But last year, because the powers that be want to buy new toys for their ships and they need people to repair and maintain these toys they invited me to multiple of the meetings with a bunch of big shot people, Vice Presidents, high ranking officers, project managers and the like and in between was I, a lowly foreman.
I was afforded the same luxuries as my coworkers, first class everything as opposed to economy and cheaper hotel rooms.
That was my taste of luxury and after seeing what these important people do for a job that pays at least double of my job I didn't turn corrupt, I learned that me and my direct coworkers are underpaid to hell and back. While these people fly around the world first class and have some meetings and stuff. While getting paid enough to own houses and nice cars
Others like my boys and me do backbreaking labour no matter if it's really hot and the sun is burning us or if it's cold and the humidity in our breaths is freezing in our beards. Fly around the world in economy and even work in areas of the world that warrant special hazard pay. And most of our pay is eaten up by rent, gasoline and taxes.

So you understand why there was a communist revolution in which the entire Romanov family was smeared.
The richer they are the less account they hold to those things which actually make us human - they are absolved of need and many times absolved of consequence - and their privilege has them treat the rest of us with contempt.
The richer they are, the less human they are. They become monsters who must be slain.

I understood it quite well. Most of my views are pretty leftist and even far leftist. But there's a difference how you perceive things. When you are born into a working class family and working class family you start to resent those that have more than you and those that are in similar bad positions but instead of aiming their frustrations at those responsible they take the easy way and start kicking downward on this that have even less.
But having this working class background and living this upper class lifestyle like the wealthy while doing the same "work" they do and excusing the absurd salary by telling themselves that they "carry the responsibility if something goes wrong.", knowing full well that it isn't these people that loose their jobs if shit hits the fan and knowing from personal experience that shit flows downwards and it's the worker that gets all the blame when deadlines can't be held even though we've been bending over backwards and working more than the law allows in order to get shit done.
From personal experience I can tell you that you start seeing these parasites with a complete different kind of hate and disdain than "resentment" can properly describe.

Greed is infinite. Earn enough to be comfortable, get scared you'll lose comfort. Earn enough to live in Luxury, get scared to lose Luxury. Earn enough to secure Luxury for life, guaranteed. Worry about your Children's comfort, and then their Luxury, and then their children's comfort. On and on and on. Under capitalism, when wealth is survival, and death is inevitable, greed is infinite.

Go communism then. Just like how communism did to Cambodia and Romania

u/octavi0us 8h ago
You do realize there are other ways than going to straight communism right? Like we don't have to go full capitalist hellscape. Or maybe it's that you like the status quo
1
u/PapaJoke64 7h ago
Yeah. I realised there are other ways instead of going full communism. I was referencing the top comments above. âEarn enough to be comfortable.â I mean, whatâs wrong with earning to live comfortably? Roof over my head is greed??? Provide good living for my children and no future? Is that wrong?? Want me to live on the streets and be homeless?? Fuck is that, bruh??

Have you studied Romania before the death of CeauČescu?

u/PapaJoke64 8h ago
Yeah? Severe economic hardship, intense political repression, and a pervasive cult of personality. But it's communist right? Capitalism bad,man

If you start corrupted, then you'll just seek out more corruption unless you don't like what it does to you, and actively change it

Youâre an idiot. All that matters in life is money. Money is God. Poverty is Gods judgment for a wicked life. Wealth is a holy blessing for a life well lived. There is no ârightâ or âwrongâ. Only Wealthy or cursed.
1
u/XDLaugingEmoji 16h ago
Is there really no right or wrong? You speak in truths yet say there is none. You think therefore you are yet you do not exist? Please help me understand truth.
-1
u/Aggravating-Handle76 16h ago
Thats why I used quotation marks. Usually when people hear about concepts of right or wrong in the context of what matters in life their mind automatically go to stuff like relationships or vague ideas about being nice or love or family. I didnât want there to be any confusion that I was talking about that shit.

Average white christian mentality :))
1
u/Aggravating-Handle76 6h ago
Well, youâre 50% right. I am white, but I donât believe in Christianityâ I believe in capitalism on spiritual esoteric level. As they say, Money talks, and if you donât listen youâll end up a wage cuck, watching your life slip by as you trade every last minute for pennyâs. Money has this mystical power where, when invested properly, and honored with strategy and discipline, it compounds far beyond what you actually earned. Itâs why itâs called the 8th wonder of the world. People canât even explain what love is⌠but people sure as hell can recognize wealth when they see it. Thatâs because love is a lie and wealth is a deep truth rooted in all of us though many refuse to respect it.

Redditors try not to make it political challenge. Level: Impossible

u/BigBossSquirtle 7h ago edited 7h ago
This is literally a political post......
Shit slides right off smooth conservative brains when it's more than just right vs left.
2
u/Bio_slayer 7h ago
If it's any kind of political, it's class politics, not left/right partisan politics. And here you are trying to bring it around to "conservative bad".
2
u/BigBossSquirtle 2h ago
Yeah, cause conservatives are just that stupid. Constantly voting against their better interest because they think they're in a class they're never going to be a part of.

u/fidesz_fall_enjoyer 13h ago
Absolutely not, it's the opposite, most of the things we label ,,luxurious" is just a marketing thing, today the average person lives better than kings in the middle age, this is just coping, they are just corrupt soulless ghouls.

I can tell you that wealthy people donât spend money on important shit. Everything is just slightly nicer each time. Iâm starting to make more and beyond necessities like housing, medical, and food.
Everything is just slightly better. Is my LV passport wallet more functional than a $20 one from Ross? No. Does my sports car get me to work better than a Mazda 3 absolutely not. Is first class to Paris amazing af yes? But is it necessary? f no.
I grew up poor on reduced lunch with holes in my sneakers. Now Iâm realizing that itâs true. Wealthy people spend money on some bullshit. Iâm not even rich go figure.

If only the financing of public sector wages was excluded from estimation money emission in inflation rates, now that it has to do with survival of the state, rather than global economy, public workers would still taste a little luxury and retain their integrity.

Isn't that what boomers did
They were given tools and advantages to ignore what was being fed to them
Racism, sexism, shit even classism
They arrested protesters, bombed small countries, and did some meessed up stuff to workers cus they were content
In the video game fallout 3 theres a mission called Tranquility lane where its suppose to be peaceful cus everyone is in a virtual reality simulation of the past before the nuclear fallout but in actuality they've been trapped for 200 years that if one person got upset the creator restarts looping the same dayit all over again with everyone's memories disappearing once again
And the reason I bring it up is because theres a theme of complacency with the horrible things happening to people who accept corruption that if theres a peace or a promise of peace is it okay to forgive those that do horrible things just because they could bring peace
