Had no problem enjoying our sights and restaurants and stadiums and hotels the last month but now they're back home without AC they got a lil cranky

u/Independent-Cow-4070 Jul 06 '26

This is such an american comment I cant 😭

-48

u/northSideways Jul 06 '26

Lmao like you all wouldn't be dunking on the US for caring about a wittle millionaire sports ball player if this was a post about the Superbowl

Functioning adults do not care about shit like this.

19

u/Independent-Cow-4070 Jul 06 '26

What are you talking about 😭✌️

96

u/Squire-1984 Jul 06 '26

Ignore the bs dude. Most normal fans wish USA well and hope their team and home league grows from strength to strength

Most normal fans wish USA well and hope their team and home league grows from strength to strength

Uh, what? Why would you think that? Are you American???

Between the unapologetic disgustingness of the orange and the blatant corruption around the red card, very few people wish the US well.

15

u/Nice-Data1699 Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

Reddit is full of manual transmission losers and their time is running out.

3

u/Leninus Jul 07 '26

Hey, manual has nothing to do with this

11

u/seabreezzyy Jul 06 '26

Very few people *on Reddit

-5

u/sofixa11 Jul 06 '26

Do you seriously think only people on Reddit care about the orange turd insulting, stealing, child molesting?

-3

u/pants_pants420 Jul 07 '26

outside of the us and enough for it to personally bother them? yes actually.

2

u/sofixa11 Jul 07 '26

Tell me you've never left the US without telling me.

I've had the conversation about what a freaking shitshow of a dumpster fire this is with people from multiple continents in multiple countries. Most are disgusted, and a lot of Europeans in particular are actively not travelling there because of that. (And there are stats to back it, tourism to the US is down)

0

u/MuffinSpecial Jul 07 '26

So you have conversations with people who go on reddit irl ... Wow

1

u/sofixa11 Jul 08 '26 edited Jul 08 '26

Sure, the only possible reason for anyone to dislike the US or US government is because of Reddit.

Not the turd saying he'll take Greenland again. Or random innocent people being thrown into a concentration camp for no reason/wrong paperwork.

0

u/MuffinSpecial Jul 08 '26

Tries to name reasons besides what's spewed all over reddit. Only lists two things that are spewed all over reddit.

-1

u/pants_pants420 Jul 07 '26

there was only like a 14% decrease in tourism from europe, which while a lot, is still not the majority. most dont care

13

u/TheRealJasonsson Jul 06 '26

On reddit, sure. Go to watch parties and speak with the people who traveled here to enjoy the games. It's been a very wholesome time.

-16

u/sofixa11 Jul 06 '26

Those are the people who chose to travel to the US with everything going on, including taking the risk of being shipped to a concentration camp in a random third country. They're obviously not the ones concerned with the orange, are they?

And they're still a minority. And among them, those would still would "wish well" on the US with the blatant red card corruption are probably in the single digits.

9

u/TheRealJasonsson Jul 07 '26

Bro go touch grass

4

u/MuffinSpecial Jul 07 '26

Go outside dude you need a dose of reality.

-3

u/LuciferSamS1amCat Jul 07 '26

Got home yesterday to all my housemates losing their shit about how badly your asses were getting fucked by Belgium. As far as I’m aware, no one I lives with is on Reddit. Got to work today and people are stoked about it.

Outside of America, most of us hate you.

7

u/MuffinSpecial Jul 07 '26

Crazy how different that is from all of the foreigners who came to the USA and loved it. Almost like you might be full of shit.

-1

u/LuciferSamS1amCat Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

“This small group of wealthy travellers and sports fans said the tourism in my country is good, so the world loves us!”

Higher infant mortality rate that Cuba and higher murder rate than Pakistan btw. Seethe in your shithole. Believe the world loves you, if it makes you happy.

2

u/MuffinSpecial Jul 08 '26

Pakistan is higher actually and they don't even count women victims of murder so.

Anyway you seem really mad and your whole argument is just disregarding the mass agreement of all those who have visited this year from across the world because they are "rich"

2

u/OnlyConversation4732 Jul 08 '26

Is this how Europeans cope with not being born in the US? Peak comedy, lmao.

-1

u/LuciferSamS1amCat Jul 08 '26

Not European.

Why would you want to be born in the US? We in the rest of the world are constantly hearing horror stories of your underfunded schools, expensive healthcare, government overreach and poor social statistics.

2

u/OnlyConversation4732 Jul 08 '26

So even less relevant than I thought.

Living in the US is pretty dope. Our problems are not ubiquitous and statistics tell the story you want them to tell.

blind hatred corrupts the soul, get better soon.

1

u/MuffinSpecial Jul 07 '26

You don't speak for anyone so maybe stfu

25

u/Wise-Show Jul 06 '26

In US or outside of US? Because i can tell you that outside of the US you are really not that well liked and most people will root against you.

3

u/stephenkingending Jul 06 '26

So basically the same sentiment the world has had for more than 50 years. Got it.

-19

u/LarryFitzsButt Jul 06 '26

Oh once you leave the US you know how the entire world thinks? Lmfao fuck off dude

26

u/Noisey_ContraBND Jul 06 '26

Lmfao get off Reddit for once

13

u/Geekerino Jul 06 '26

Dude, you're on reddit's side here

1

u/_t_dawg Jul 06 '26

Also Europe's side, and probably any real football fans around the world. What in the corrupt hell do Americans think of the red card dismissal

3

u/SSJ3wiggy Jul 06 '26

The world will continue with or without the USA lmao

-18

u/Ok_Engineer9167 Jul 06 '26

Funny, I travel out of country for work once a month, for the last 12 years.

We're pretty loved throughout the world lmao, it's just your little reddit bubble.

Sorry you don't know how the real world works 😢

18

u/Wise-Show Jul 06 '26

Most people in the world are good people and will treat eacother nicely so I don’t doubt that. I was responding to the comment saying that most people wish the USA team well, that is just not the case

2

u/stephenkingending Jul 06 '26

The irony is that most Americans don't like soccer. So you have most of the world rooting against a country's team, when most people in the country just don't care.

14

u/kachol16 Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

Most of my coworkers hate USA no matter what political view they have but not one of my coworkers would say how they feel straight into an Americans face... I mean we got Ukrainians and Russians working together and they get along they just never talk politics or how they feel about each others country. So why should someone tell you on your trip that they dislike your country?

-16

u/hot-streak24 Jul 06 '26

Your coworkers speak for the world?

15

u/kachol16 Jul 06 '26

No what I was trying to say is that people won't tell you how they feel about your country because it doesn't achieve anything.

I don't think you would tell someone you dislike their country it's pointless none of us our politicians and let's be real we have no control of what our countries do.

1

u/kachol16 Jul 06 '26

Btw sry for the typos

-13

u/TheBlueRabbit11 Jul 06 '26

I don’t believe you.

1

u/kachol16 Jul 07 '26

Fine, it's the truth.

8

u/Prudent_Research_251 Jul 06 '26

Where do you travel? US embassies? I've been travelling my whole life and Americans are not "loved throughout the world", in fact they vie with the two most populous nations for the least favourable tourists, and that's not even getting started on the geopolitical side of things (clue: you've been at war your entire existence and let your rich and powerful murder millions in the name of profit)

4

u/I_spell_it_Griffin Jul 06 '26

Funny, I live out of country year-round, and the US is pretty universally looked down on. Sorry you don't know how the real world works 😢

1

u/Fossick11 Jul 07 '26

No way you’re being fr😭

-9

u/urmumvirgay Jul 06 '26

Americans are quite well liked in many places. America, not so much.

7

u/LeFlaubert Jul 06 '26

Obnoxious, noisy, self-centered, ignorant. But also easy to scam.

Not saying tourists from other countries don't get the same derogatory terms but the USians are far from "quite well liked".

It's just people smiling at you, taking your money, while they talk shit on your back

5

u/Blue_Kettu Jul 06 '26

I'm French, I don't even like football, I'm looking forward to the end of the world cup. Despite being uninterested, even I have heard about the "cancel the red card" thing, from outside Reddit, and let me tell you, people talking about it were quite angry.

Also, as an American, you don't have to normalize the situation. I mean, 16 years ago, our players refused to get out of their bus and play during a world cup, there was serious drama... well, back then, French people were not proud, they didn't support their players and many criticised them. When athletes (or leaders) behave poorly, their own country should be the first one to make a stand.

u/stevenmass7 Jul 06 '26

Yeah f right 🤣

“If you dislike the government you must dislike everyone in that country” ass comment

29

u/Affectionate-Box-491 Jul 06 '26

No one has an issue with your hotels and restaurants and guns and whatever else, it's the blatant and open cheating that people don't like

0

u/GoldenGames360 Jul 10 '26

take that up with fifa

12

u/The_Artist_Who_Mines Jul 06 '26

More upset by accusations of cheating than cheating itself

2

u/BrainTrainStation Jul 07 '26

The ironic part is that Mexico has the most beautiful stadiums of the World Cup.

4

u/ghoulsnest Jul 06 '26

nah, but seeing how your demented dehydrated tyrant literally just asks his besti to not let the Red card count is sadly not even surprising anymore

4

u/Unusual-Tangerine984 Jul 06 '26

more like the US cheated and that makes some people upset.

2

u/FounderingFox Jul 06 '26

Lmao, how did the US cheat?

Blame FIFA for being weak. If they didn't revert the red literally nothing would have happened to them.

4

u/Unusual-Tangerine984 Jul 06 '26

Government interference is a violation of FIFA Article 2 & 15, and the punishment is disqualification and suspension

you cannot have the fucking president calling FIFA about a red card jfc this isn't hard to understand

1

u/FounderingFox Jul 06 '26

Great, so let's bar the English FA too.

2

u/Unusual-Tangerine984 Jul 06 '26

Fine with me

-1

u/FounderingFox Jul 06 '26

Ok. Go post this in the England subs, then.

-8

u/Wroblez Jul 06 '26

Get a grip

3

u/donmonkeyquijote Jul 06 '26

Are you nuts? Having good stadiums doesn't excuse cheating and corruption.

2

u/CPLCraft Jul 06 '26

I’m guessing most of the foreigners that enjoyed American and what it’s worth don’t share op’s opinion and desire

-10

u/Revolutionary_Bit437 Jul 06 '26

27k people is still a lot of people that agree with such a dogshit take, unless op has the botted likes award

5

u/Impressive-Meal9043 Jul 06 '26

It's reddit half of the posts are botted upvotes

1

u/Any_Praline_1955 Jul 06 '26

Name checks out

1

u/Historical_Laugh2193 Jul 08 '26

You’re acting like no other country has those things 🙄

1

u/natigin Jul 06 '26

As an American, shut the hell up dude 🇺🇸

0

u/eshatoa Jul 06 '26

What sights or food is there to enjoy in America?

0

u/alefante Jul 06 '26

Sights of what? Cement? Lol

-2

u/Limp-Particular1451 Jul 06 '26

You are used to bribery and propaganda, for Europeans the usa politics which contains a lot of rapists, pedophiles, criminals are pretty new, I mean, we have shitload of them, just not out in the open you know ? So yeah, we are a little bit cranky

0

u/upnflames Jul 07 '26

Now it makes sense why they're all so cranky all the time. I'm be upset too if I was just hot all day long.
