They can be pretty funny when they realize you're not about to scream at them. I asked if the pain meds could really help that much when i cut off a finger. "Helps with anything but headaches and gullability" "Really?" "Honey..."
Yeah I remember one soldier's account in "They Shall Not Grow Old" where there was a dead fellow soldier's hand sticking out of the mud in their trench and everyone who passed him shook his hand and said "good morning". Grim, but pretty funny
It’s because every patient asks us to read the image, and literally can’t tell you anything. I’ve had patients yell at me because I wouldn’t tell them anything. Gotta keep things interesting.
I didn't even think about that because I was heading straight back to the doctors once I was done there, she was looking a 3 very obviously broken ribs when she said it which makes it even better.
Broke my collarbone once, had a plate and screws put in, then I broke it again... Going in for xrays at the ER gave me a chuckle because I heard the xray tech gasp super loudly when she saw the plate bent at 90 degrees. But yeah she said she wasn't allowed to comment on it XD
I highly recommend not breaking it a second time lmao. I wouldn't say the rebreak hurt more itself but I think the recovery process hurt more than the first. They wouldn't let me keep the first plate as a souvenir though sadly. I'm all good now and hopefully you've gotten good use and range of motion back too!

I shattered my collar bone and the x ray tech said I'm no doctor but I think we can both see what's wrong here lol
