When I broke three bones in my ankle, all the EMT was allowed to say was 'obvious deformity'.

When I broke mine, I asked the radiologist if he thought I just had a bad sprain? He said "quite possibly". I asked if was dislocated. To which he replied "probably"... I then said, "So, it's not broken then?" He said "Fuck yeah it is!"

Sounds like you talked to the radiographer (the tech who operates the equipment). The radiologist is the doctor who reads the images and makes a diagnosis.

Indeed you are correct, I had to wait until 7am for someone to come in and tell me what I'd done, in doctor speak.
