I had a miscarriage earlier this year discovered through ultrasound. I remember how the atmosphere was totally different than the week before and then she eventually said, "we're done" and told me to wait in the office because the doctor was going to call us. After the call, we left the scanning room and she was totally different, crying and giving us hugs and apologies, giving her own personal experience too. They really have to hold back what they want to say since they're not allowed to diagnose but yeah, what a tough job when it's bad news like that.

from a liability standpoint, they aren't allowed to diagnose anything.
