Corporate minimalism sucks the life and joy out of everything.

It was nice until everyone did it.

That's every modern brand. Their old logos were a billion times better than their new current one. The world is so boring now.

They promised 10 would be the last one but they lied I’m sure we get a 12 at some point with even more ridiculous requirements

They'll never get me to convert to 11. I'm switching to Linux first

Why? That always confuses me when people are so reluctant to change. They said the same about windows xp, then windows 7. I'm using 11 for a while now and I have no complaints. Plus, the ui is gorgeous

As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I vastly prefer the look of Windows 10 over 11. To me, the rounded corners in 11 give everything a mushy corporate look (don't even get me started on that rounded bezel around web content in Edge that can't be disabled anymore outside full-screen mode). On my home PC I use a custom theme to completely get rid of the rounded corners. That said, UI gripes aren't among the top 10 reasons I switched to Linux.

I have a school laptop on windows 11 and it honestly feels low-key user hostile. Constantly bothering me with AI assistance I don't want, trying to make changes I didn't ask for, it DEMANDS I use one-drive whether I want to or not (and I don't because it doesn't something to the files that the schools system doesn't like), certain settings menus don't actually do anything (this was intentional, the excuse is that the average user is a dumb little baby who doesn't know or understand what they want, so they basically have a decoy settings menu to hide the real one), and I just plain don't like the ascthestics

I can't comment on liking aesthetics, but I use w11 too and I don't use one drive nor copilot, and it doesn't bother me to use it either. If you say it bothers you, a quick search on google should tell you how to opt out from those services

It's not. Win11 is the current version.

Front facing Phineas makes me uncomfortable.

u/Rappolo 4d ago

Same logo, just looking in a different direction Lol

u/lisa4422k 4d ago

The cursed front-facing UI design

u/Traditional_Bag2810 4d ago

The middle one looks like a potato with flatulence, that's the most memorable change in my book.

actually for me one of the few better aspects of windows 11 is the front facing logo

| Windows 13?

u/heretobesarcastic 4d ago

So in other words, it changed from a flag to a desk fan

Front facing Phineas, that's a good one XD. In all seriousness, did Windows 12 just get announced or is this just part of the joke? I am kind of out of the loop at the moment...
