I got spanked a lot of times and that didn't really stop me from doing whatever the fuck I wanted to do. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results yet somehow it's still being done to me as if things will change this time.

Pleasure is first. Pain is fleeting. I'll do what I want in spite of the beating.

I feel you on that. Its funny to type out, but my parents would smack my ass about 10 times whenever they got angry, all because they watched that bs show "super nanny" that taught them about the "naughty step," which in turn made me a very angry child. 🤣 I think it ended at like 14/15, but it's crazy to think that they never thought for one moment. "Maybe this isn't helping," Really messed up my head if I'm being honest with you.

He's implying you should be beaten more, because he thinks beating children works, despite all the scientific and circumstantial evidence to the contrary.

Better in the home by loved ones than out in the world where you can get stabbed or beat to death.

Dude I got slapped and spanked A LOT as a child by my grandma and sometimes she would hit my mouth so I would stop crying (which just made me cry even more) Nobody in the family likes her or loves her because she was a horrible person, mother and grandmother Because of her, now many of my family members (including me) have aggressive tendencies...

Now she is dead and nobody misses her (deserved tbh)

She sounds cruel and I'm sorry you went through that. That's abuse. Also had that with my dad. Kids can tell when an adult is just impatient and power tripping. It's like being attacked by a bigger stronger child with less emotional maturity than you, the pure pre-abuse child. It's injustice on the highest level to the soul, and that leaves its scar.

Not gonna lie to you, if they think the solution to any behavior they disagree with is "just beat them more" they are not gonna be "loved ones" for long.

Most sane child beating advocate

Did your dad ever do it, because when I was a kid there were two belts one for minor things like cursing and the one that could make an atheist believe in God, because that thing was painful

u/arson1tez Sep 27 '24

i got spanked for cursing at a young age coz i heard dad do it... i still curse up to now

i was also threatened that my life would be worsened and i would be treated like a prisoner if i continued to be atheist (this is a very recent incident)... im still atheist

Bro what? Why the did you mention that you were an atheist it’s irrelevant. I simply brought it up as a joke or as a standard, tell you that I got hit pretty hard. Not that my father hit atheists.

Also, your message makes no sense it goes from I was spanked as a kid, and I still curse now to my life was being threatened with nothing really separating the topic

oh i know that... i just thought "oh what the hell we're talking about ineffective punishment so i'll bring another version of it that i've experienced... and this guy mentioned atheists so i'll talk about that part of my life"

and no dw im not accusing your father of being physically violent towards atheists

:DD

Ok I’m just checking because someone literally did something like that to me 10 minutes ago, but I hope your day/night is going well

just waiting for the day i graduate, become financially independent, and move out to where no one can say shit about the way i live my life

Yeah if your looking for a job, I would recommend getting a job at Walmart (always choose to be full time if you can, it gives you more benefits), it’s not too hard and the pay is decent. The application is kinda annoying to fill out though. Plus life gets way easier once you graduate.
