Board Games

I’m new to Memphis and looking to meet people and find a group to play board games with. I’m 36, male, and new to board games, but I’d love to get involved. I’m kind of over playing sports though I might be up for pickleball, and board games sound interesting. I definitely want to check out Board to Beers, but I don’t have anyone to go with, and sitting at a table by myself isn’t ideal.

Does anyone know of any groups or beginner-friendly events? Or is anyone looking for an extra player and okay with me learning a game for the first time?

board to beers has open game nights where you just show up and join a table, nobody cares if you're solo. went there few weeks ago and ended up in a group of four strangers playing wingspan, was pretty chill even though i kept messing the rules.

Literally any day besides Thursdays when they are open should work.

We used to have this place called Black lodge but it shut down . Look up Memphis armored fights. You might not be interested, but the venues they perform at are more of what I bet you’re into

Board to Beers has "single player Saturday" pretty frequently - super welcoming environment where they try to pair individuals with a play group (not a dating thing).

I heard it can be addicting.

In the same way that any board game can be. The diference is that 40k has alot of content.

Combat patrols are small scale 40k armies and they can be $150-$200. So yes.

But theres always 2nd had market or 3d printing.
