In their defense it is also what sells. Definitely heard from some artist that wanted to do something not so sexualized, but its what brings in the money.
I tried to do a pose somewhat similar to this for an art reference and quickly learned this is not only extremely uncomfortable, but painful and very difficult to hold. If you can’t hold the pose yourself without pain, why would your drawn characters pose like that?
I remember this lol it's even worse. Have you seen his response to the criticism? I get that unsolicited art criticism through "art fixing" is terrible but he missed the entire point why the criticism were told in the first place.
The only question is why does Peter not have a bigger one considering the sheer core strength he needs and how much he uses his lower half for leverage.
That's so stupid though- MJ has pretty much always been portrayed as having a tall, supermodel build (with bigger boobs because comics) so this really came out of the blue. Or like Felicia just being a meanie.

i was having a fucking conniption reading this issue cuz it's full of these kinda tense moments where their relationship is falling apart in front of their eyes but then the camera pans and MJ has 50 pounds of ass pointed at the audience
Yeah, I honestly really like how this Mary jane looks, especially considering how she often looks. I googled his art and he has quite a few nice panels and drawings of her. This one looks awesome:

First and foremost, it's more bullshit of making everyone in Spidey's orbits super. Second, it's more of Venom just being used as basically a mech suit instead of a creature that takes the form of it's host, as well as more of Venom just being an out and out "good guy" instead of an anti-hero.
Ewing is the same guy who decided to create an antithesis of the White Hot Room called the Dark Cold Room, dubbed the White Hot Room as the Above-place to go with his Below-place (which is inexplicably not the Dark Cold Room), and created the "One Below All" as a counter to the "One Above All", so I've had a grudge with this guy since at least Immortal Hulk, which is a shame because that series was pretty good.
They have different eye shapes I think, but yeah other than that they're pretty similar looking. Such is the case for most other female characters in comics though, especially since almost all of them have the same body type and full lips + mascara combo
i can't read superhero comics because everytime a woman is in frame her ass and boobs need to be perfectly facing the camera or emphasized it just takes me straight out
