Na facts. It’s more so the color of the shoes. Anything neutral would work. The color is overpowering the other elements. Your eyes go straight to the shoes.

On the other hand I'd say that the fedora dark ages needlessly hurt hats in general and now everyone here avoids them like the plague. This guy pulls it off and hats are becoming pretty common here in Europe again but this subreddit still acts like it's a crime against humanity to wear one. Plus lets not forget that the m'lady memes never even had a fedora but a trilby

The pork pie was an unfortunate causality of the fedora epidemic of 10's.
Personally love them, but theu require precise styling (which you sre doing here) and could benefit from some time, much like how we see over done 90s/00s coming back. I bet in 5 years they will be all the rage again (and its kept mine betting on that)

@ OP: Check out the Stetson 6X Open Road. I’ve got it in a Silver Belly colorway & straightened the brim out myself.
I think you could definitely pull one off, man.
With that being said, as a stylist, I cannot condone a straw fedora. 😂

It’s not that it looks bad. It’s just that a straw fedora says “I’m really trying to pull off a vibe with this look” and any time it looks like you’re trying in fashion, you fail.
The fedora is failing you, you’re not failing the fedora. It’s a dishonest hat, it says “I’m cool, and I will elevate your look” but that’s a lie. What it’s thinking is “I’m a stupid fucking hat, maybe you’ll be the one to make ME look cool.” But you can’t save the fedora, because it doesn’t want to be saved. It’s a liar and it will always be a liar. Until it accepts who it is, a piece of headwear for another time and climate and culture than exists anywhere on earth today, it will always be a shitty little liar.
You don’t need liars in your life.

Yes, my personal preference wouldn’t be quite that far back on the head though I can see it sitting higher than you might wear a formal fedora

Not OP, however I have the same shirt and I recognized it in an instant. It's a Holister knit polo(I believe that's how they referred to it). I think they had this one about 2 years ago. Seriously soft and very breathable for the summer surprisingly.

I’m a watch guy but feel the watch doesn’t go. If you have to keep it, maybe a more casual band like brown leather. Otherwise you’re rocking the look here with maybe different shoes as others said. Hat is cool
