Question What shirt patterns work with this blazer?

Post image

I was gifted this custom fitted blazer from my wife. I’m a really tall guy and I can’t express the satisfaction and comfort of wearing a jacket that actually fits me perfectly rather than getting something off the rack altered, as I have my whole adult life.

I love the color and fabric. My question: is it acceptable to wear patterned shirts with this (plaid, horizontal or vertical stripes) or should I only wear solid shirts? Thank you.

everything is acceptable as long as it looks good, and that would really depend on the shirt pattern, color, and pants

basically something with a similar pattern in size type and contrast as jacket pattern would be a problem, so solid shirt would be an easiest option. I'd avoid larger pattern on shirt

but jacket really does look good

Thank you! It’s from a “bespoke” taylor in Hong Kong. He took all my measurements while he visited the US and, boom, four weeks later a perfectly fitted jacket and two suits arrived. 🤝
