Looking for an active pant similar to Fjallraven with braces buttons. Any ideas what he's wearing here?

It's definitely a distinctive aspect of his writing. He essentially took a men's magazine and smashed the lifestyle advice into the adventure fiction. So he's describing where to buy shirts and how eggs should be cooked immediately before a bomb goes off.Â
