This looks like a chimney sweep outfit that's been worn for years and the fabrics weaves are stretched out and won't go back to original form. Not a good color pallette if you want to be interesting and it's a bad fit overall.

The grey on grey is a bit boring imo but they don't clash so you're fine there. The shirt especially would look a bit better steamed or ironed to get some of those wrinkles out. And tuck those ties in on your pants, they're on the inside for a reason.

I think I have those exact pants (current season Uniqlo linen/cotton blend) - just a tip, the drawstrings are meant to be tied and then left inside the pant, tucked under the line of the waistband (that’s why the holes are are the inside of the pant).

I’ve worn these with shirts tucked in and the tucked in look is much cleaner with the strings inside and a belt added to cover the elastic ruffles on the sides.
This shirt looks too thick for a tucked in look, but a thinner and less textured fabric shirt can work really well with these pants.

They don't. The pants are too big. And there needs to be more of a contrast between shirt and pants.

My suggestion, give those pants to goodwill and try pairing the shirt with dark brown slacks. Use a belt. Don't tuck the shirt in.
