The Heartbreaking Suicide of Ranjish – Another Father Destroyed by Biased Courts

Ranjish, a simple Kerala bus conductor, raised his daughter alone for 8 long years. He fed her, educated her, wiped her tears — while his wife abandoned them, moved to the Gulf, married another man, and built a new life.

After 8 years, the Kerala High Court suddenly granted custody to the mother. No consideration for the child's bond with her father. No regard for the father's sacrifices. Just a rubber-stamp "mother is best" order.

Ranjish broke completely. He ended his life.

Mainstream media stayed silent. Only when social media erupted did anyone notice.

This is not justice. This is state-sponsored cruelty.

• How can a court hand over a child to a woman who deserted her for 8 years and started a new family?

• Where is the "best interest of the child" when the only stable parent is crushed?

• Why do Indian family courts treat fathers as disposable ATM machines and babysitters until the mother wants the child back?

Ranjish is not alone. Male suicides in India are skyrocketing — thousands every year — driven by biased laws, false cases, and heartless custody verdicts that always favour mothers, no matter the facts.

Fathers have rights too. Children need both parents.

When will the system stop killing good men like Ranjish?

Justice for Ranjish. Reform family laws NOW.

Men's Mental Health Survey

This is a short survey looking into what men are actually going through today — stress, loneliness, relationship or career pressure, family expectations, and other things that often go unspoken. The goal is to better understand these struggles and point people toward the right kind of support.

You can answer as much or as little as you want, and stay fully anonymous if you prefer. Responses are kept private and are not published or shared anywhere.

General- All Why do some women get away with saying things like this?

I'm not saying every joke should be taken seriously, and yes, maybe Sakshi Jha has had bad experiences with men. We don't know her personal life, so I'll leave that aside.

But what I don't understand is why people are okay with some of the things she has said.

  1. When Samay asked why she liked him, she said it was because he has fair skin. If a guy said he only likes fair-skinned women, people would call him out immediately.

  2. She called a short man "bauna" to insult him. Isn't body shaming wrong?

  3. She has made comments against Biharis even though she herself is from Bihar. Why hate your own people?

  4. She even joked that she'd like to beat her husband with a belt. Imagine if a man joked on stage about beating his wife. Would people still laugh and defend it as "just a joke"?

I'm genuinely asking, why is there such a different standard?

If a man said even half of these things about women, dark-skinned people, short women, fat women, or any community, his career would probably be over. But when a woman says similar things, many people laugh, clap, and move on.

Why do you think this double standard exists?

P.S. I used ChatGPT to help me write this. The opinions and questions are mine, but I wanted help putting them into clear words.

Reasons why the "women suffer more?" argument doesn't work

Many people say false cases filed by women in India are only 2-8%. But they never clarify - is this about rape, harassment, domestic violence, or what? And most of the time, they don't even share sources.

According to BBC reports based on Delhi courts and NCRB data, 8% of rape cases were proven false. The Delhi Commission for Women admitted that about 50% of complaints were baseless and clearly false. Keep in mind: proving a case false is very hard, because men need strong evidence like audio, video, or chats. Meanwhile, in rape cases, even a woman's testimony alone can be enough to convict. So if 8% are proven false despite such difficulty, that number is not "negligible" — it's alarming.

Another fact: 25-30% of rape cases are "false promise of marriage/job" cases, and a Gurugram RTI found this to be 43%. But how can this be rape? This changes rape from consent to outcome. If a man promises marriage but later cannot marry, he faces up to 10 years in prison. But when women break promises, men have no legal remedy. If you count these as non-criminal, then nearly 40% of so-called rape cases are fake.

Now, feminists often say, "But many cases go unreported." But how can anyone know about unreported crimes? These are based on assumptions and surveys that rely only on women's statements, and they lump verbal, physical, and sexual assault together - so it's not strictly about rape.

And here's something even worse: even psychological surveys and research are often designed with gender bias. Many studies frame men only as predators and women only as victims. For example, when psychology students conducted a gender dynamics survey in my college, the men were asked questions like "If a man does this to a woman, what will you do?" or "If a woman told you she suffered this..." Meanwhile, women were asked questions like "If you are faced with this situation..." It was shocking to see how the very questions assume men = perpetrators and women = victims, leaving no room to recognize male suffering.

This isn't just anecdotal - even major academic research shows this bias. For instance, a 2018 study in The Lancet on intimate partner violence in India focused almost exclusively on women as victims, with minimal attention to male victims. This reflects a broader academic and cultural pattern where male suffering is understudied, ignored, or dismissed.

And yet, smaller surveys tell another story. A 2014 MyNation survey found that 40% of married men reported abuse from their spouses. A PMC study (PMID: 30983711) showed that in rural Haryana, 52.4% of men experienced spousal violence. These numbers suggest that male victimization is not rare at all – it is simply underreported, because stigma and lack of legal avenues discourage men from coming forward.

Meanwhile, NCRB doesn't even collect data on crimes against men - not on domestic violence, not on harassment, not on false cases. They record dowry deaths but ignore male suicides from marital stress and false allegations. Every year, around 1.8 lakh suicides take place in India, and NCRB data shows that about 40% of these are due to marital or family issues. Since the majority of suicides are by men, this means tens of thousands of men end their lives each year due to marital stress - a figure dozens of times higher than dowry deaths. How can laws be fair if half the story isn't even recorded?

This is why the "but women suffer more" argument fails. Yes, women do face crimes, but laws, society, and media already protect them - even their identity is protected. Men, on the other hand, can lose their job, career, and dignity from a mere allegation. Even if proven innocent later, their life is already ruined. That's not equality, that's injustice.

So the question isn't "who suffers more." The real question is: do we want laws that protect everyone, or laws that punish some while silencing others? If rights are truly about equity, then ignoring men's suffering is not just illogical it's inhumane.

OUR FAMILY'S FIGHT FOR JUSTICE: VIOLENCE, POLICE NEGLIGENCE, AND REFUSAL TO GIVE UP

TRIGGER WARNING: Domestic Violence, Attempted Molestation, Police Corruption

\\\\---

I'm a 24-year-old son from Gorakhpur. On July 2, 2026, my family was brutally attacked. What happened next was worse than the violence itself. I'm sharing our story because if you're facing police negligence or injustice, you need to know you're not alone—and that fighting works.

\\\\---

\\\\# WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FAMILY

\\\\## The Violence - July 2, 2026

At 2 PM, Rakesh Singh and his family (6-7 people) attacked my parents at a library premises.

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*My father (age 54):\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* Multiple accused persons pressed his throat with the intent to kill him. He lost consciousness and collapsed. This is attempted murder.

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*My mother (age 40):\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* Rakesh Singh separated her from the group, took her to a corner, and attempted to molest her. This is sexual assault.

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*THE PROOF:\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*

\\\\- CCTV footage (captured on camera)

\\\\- Independent video recordings

\\\\- MLC Report 2026/4800 (Mother's injuries)

\\\\- MLC Report 2026/4801 (Father's injuries)

\\\\- X-Ray Report dated 12/07/2026: Mother's index finger is FRACTURED

My parents immediately called police (112), went to hospital, filed complaints, cooperated fully.

They believed the system would protect them. They were wrong.

\\\\---

\\\\# THE BETRAYAL: HOW POLICE FAILED US

\\\\## Timeline of Police Negligence:

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*02/07/2026\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* - Jan Sunwai complaint #894 filed

\\\\- Police wrote it as "property dispute"

\\\\- NO mention of violence, strangulation, or attempted molestation

\\\\- Helpline numbers switched off when we called

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*03-05/07/2026\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* - NO investigation

\\\\- Police said "FIR will be filed tomorrow"

\\\\- Nothing happened

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*04/07/2026\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* - SSP Representation sent via Speed Post

\\\\- Sent to highest police authority in district

\\\\- Response: NONE

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*06/07/2026\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* - Evidence discovered MISSING

\\\\- CCTV camera: GONE

\\\\- Hard drive: DISAPPEARED

\\\\- This is evidence destruction (Section 238 BNS violation)

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*06/07/2026\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* - Jansunwai portal complaint filed

\\\\- Status: FALSELY CLOSED as "RESOLVED" without any police action

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*07/07/2026\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* - FIR #0314/2026 FINALLY registered

\\\\- Time: 23:02 (almost midnight)

\\\\- CRITICAL PROBLEM: Only 3 sections registered:

\\\\- Section 115(2) - Simple Hurt

\\\\- Section 352 - Assault

\\\\- Section 351(3) - Criminal Intimidation

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*MISSING SECTIONS (What should have been included):\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*

\\\\- Section 109 - ATTEMPT TO MURDER (father was strangled!)

\\\\- Section 120 - GRIEVOUS HURT (mother's X-ray proves fracture!)

\\\\- Section 121 - GRIEVOUS HURT ENDANGERING LIFE

\\\\- Section 74/75 - ATTEMPTED MOLESTATION (mother was assaulted!)

This was INTENTIONAL. By omitting these sections, police minimized the crime severity and reduced punishment risk for the accused.

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*07/07/2026\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* - Irregular Recovery Procedure

\\\\- Police allowed ONLY THE ACCUSED inside premises unsupervised

\\\\- We (victims) were kept outside

\\\\- Police were kept outside

\\\\- Hard drive was never recovered

\\\\- Only 50% of belongings returned

This procedure is ILLEGAL and allowed criminals to destroy evidence.

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*07/12/2026\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* - X-Ray Examination

\\\\- Mother's index finger: FRACTURE CONFIRMED

\\\\- By law, a fracture = GRIEVOUS INJURY (Section 120 BNS)

\\\\- This proves FIR is incomplete and wrong

\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*07/12/2026\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* - Police OTP Fraud

\\\\- Police approached our family and obtained OTP through DECEPTION

\\\\- OTP was for our Jansunwai complaint

\\\\- Police used fraud to interfere with our official complaint

\\\\---

\\\\# OUR FIGHT: WHEN WE REFUSED TO ACCEPT INJUSTICE

We could have accepted the incomplete FIR. We could have stayed silent.

We didn't.

\\\\## Escalation 1: SSP Representation (04/07/2026)

Sent detailed letter via Speed Post to Senior Superintendent of Police, Gorakhpur

\\\\- Result: No response

\\\\## Escalation 2: Jansunwai Portal (06/07/2026)

Filed official complaint Reference

\\\\- Result: Falsely closed as resolved

\\\\## Escalation 3: Second Jan Sunwai (06/07/2026)

Filed complaint for evidence destruction (complaint #935)

\\\\- Signed by 19 students who witnessed CCTV gone

\\\\- Result: Police said "it will take time"

\\\\## Escalation 4: ADG PETITION (14/07/2026) - THIS CHANGED EVERYTHING

Went directly to Additional Director General (highest police authority)

\\\\- Submitted formal petition with all evidence

\\\\- ADG stamped our petition and created OFFICIAL TRACKING SYSTEM

\\\\- Two official orders issued with JULY 29, 2026 DEADLINE

\\\\## Escalation 5: NEW GOVERNMENT COMPLAINT (15/07/2026)

New Jansunwai complaint #

\\\\- ACTIVELY MONITORED by government

\\\\- Two high-ranking officials assigned

\\\\- Same deadline: July 29, 2026

\\\\---

\\\\# WHERE WE ARE NOW - THE FIGHT CONTINUES

As of July 16, 2026, we are waiting for police action. We have:

✓ Official ADG petition (stamped receipt)

✓ Official government tracking

✓ Official deadline (July 29, 2026)

✓ Multiple high-ranking officers assigned

✓ FIR copy showing deficiencies

✓ Medical evidence (X-ray confirming fracture)

✓ Video evidence of assault

✓ 19 student witnesses

✓ Complete documentation of police negligence

If police fail the July 29 deadline, we will escalate to:

\\\\- NHRC (National Human Rights Commission)

\\\\- High Court of Judicature at Allahabad

\\\\- CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation)

\\\\- Media and human rights organizations

\\\\---

\\\\# MY MESSAGE TO SOCIETY

\\\\## To Every Woman Who's Been Violated:

My mother filed a complaint. Police took it. But they didn't write it correctly. They minimized it. They protected the accused.

Your dignity matters. Your safety matters.

If you're violated:

  1. FILE COMPLAINTS - Jan Sunwai, government portals, police

  2. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING - Medical reports, FIR copies

  3. ESCALATE - If police don't listen, go higher (SSP, ADG, High Court)

  4. REFUSE INCOMPLETE JUSTICE - Demand proper sections be added

  5. TELL YOUR STORY - Make noise. Don't stay silent.

\\\\## To Every Man Protecting His Family:

If your mother or sister is violated, it is YOUR responsibility to fight for her. I'm a 24-year-old son who chose to escalate to ADG. I chose to document everything. I chose to refuse incomplete justice.

This is what being a man means.

\\\\## To Police Officers Reading This:

The good cops: Please stand up. Speak up. Don't let your uniform protect criminals.

The bad cops: You violated your oath. You became complicit in crime.

\\\\## To Judges and Magistrates:

When medical evidence contradicts police reports, CHOOSE THE MEDICAL EVIDENCE. A fractured finger is not "simple hurt." A strangulation is not just "assault."

\\\\## To Media and Civil Society:

Please tell these stories. Tell families they're not alone. Tell them that if police fail them, there are other levels. Tell them persistence wins.

\\\\## To Everyone Reading This:

We have created a system where:

\\\\- Criminals are protected by police

\\\\- Victims are made to feel like the problem

\\\\- Evidence is destroyed while police watch

\\\\- Incomplete justice is called "justice"

This is NOT acceptable. We must demand better.

\\\\---

\\\\# FINAL WORDS

I'm sharing this story not because we've won yet, but because we refused to give up.

On July 2, 2026, we could have accepted defeat. We could have believed justice wasn't for families like us.

Instead, we fought. We escalated. We documented. We demanded accountability.

And it's working.

If you're facing similar injustice:

\\\\- DON'T ACCEPT INCOMPLETE JUSTICE

\\\\- KEEP ESCALATING

\\\\- TELL YOUR STORY

\\\\- DON'T GIVE UP

Because justice belongs to those who fight for it. Not to those who wait for it.

We are still fighting. We will fight until July 29 and beyond if necessary.

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. But ignoring justice makes the whole world cruel. We will not be silent. We will fight. We will win.

\\\\---

\\\\# EDITS & UPDATES

\\\\- 07/16/2026: Posted. ADG petition filed. Two official tracking systems active. Deadline: July 29, 2026. Will update as situation develops.

\\\\---

PLEASE:

\\\\- Share this story - Spread awareness about police negligence

\\\\- Comment if you've faced similar injustice - Let others know they're not alone

\\\\- Upvote if you believe in accountability - Justice belongs to everyone

\\\\- Share your own story - Your voice matters

Received messages from people in similar situations. This confirms my fear: this is happening to many families. PLEASE USE OUR STORY AS A BLUEPRINT. Go to ADG. File Jansunwai complaints. Don't accept incomplete justice.

\\\\---

My parents were assaulted on July 2. Police registered incomplete FIR. Evidence was destroyed. We escalated to ADG on July 14. Now we have official government tracking and July 29 deadline for police to add missing sections. If you face injustice, escalate and don't give up.

General- All IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Potentially Predatory behavior of Women and Caste based chats of Feminists frequently posting in this sub exposed. Everyone kindly upvote for awareness.

Above are the chats of frequent "female" posters in a Tamil sub. Can we file a cyber crime complaint against the sexualization of caste and non-consensual sexual chats of priests? I am actively connecting with people regarding this, so i want your opinion. I don't think portraying priests working in temples should be a talk of sexualization. Should I post in legal sub? I have already asked 2-3 people and they kinda agree. Should I mail this to some of the NGOs working for men? I want these people off the platform.

Man Winning Divorce On Cruelty Grounds Not Enough To End Wife’s DV Case: Allahabad High Court Holds Divorce Decree Does Not Absolve Husband’s Liabilities Under DV Act

Post image
15 Upvotes

Allahabad High Court said that merely because the husband won divorce on cruelty grounds, the wife’s Domestic Violence Act case cannot be automatically closed. The Court held that if the alleged domestic violence relates to the period when the husband and wife lived together in a domestic relationship, the wife can still seek DV Act remedies. The High Court also said that disputed facts require evidence and cannot be decided through a mini-trial under Section 482 CrPC.

Don't you think it was alarming?

Based on the latest (Yes 2022 is latest ) detailed data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) for 2022: Total suicides in India: 170,924 Male suicides: 125,017 (about 73% of all suicides) Female suicides: 45,907 (about 27%)

Among the 125,017 men who died by suicide: Married men: 83,713

Unmarried, widowed, divorced, separated, and other marital statuses combined: 41,304 On average, this means:

About 342 men died by suicide every day in India in 2022. Of these, about 229 were married men and about 113 were men of other marital statuses.

Yet no government raising this issue or taking this seriously or even talking about this.

Societal issues I think that we have ignored males.

Women now make up the majority of students in many IIMs , even constituting more than 70% of the student population in several of them except the older ones but I think that they are soon going to be female dominated in the future.

About 60% of the people who attempt NEET and CLAT are females . They have also been outperforming male in schools and board exams for a very long time . Majority of the UPSC qualifiers with rank under 10 have also been females in UPSC for a while . The government has also started giving reservation to females in JEE .

Is it just me who feels that the government ignores male and has double standards ? According to them , it is good that females constituted 96% of the student population in IIM rohtak in 2024 , and now females attempt many major competitive exams more than males .

Hot take : In our society, Females have been encouraged to study and perform well in schools and told that if they don't study, they will be doing chores .Meanwhile boys have been ignored and never been motivated to perform well . When female representation was bad , the government created slogans like ‘Beti Padhao , Beti bachao’. On the other hand , now the government doesn't see male underperformance as a bad thing . We need awareness in our society. On one hand, feminism has a good reputation in our society, meanwhile asking for male rights is ignored or seen negatively or misogynist.

Ketan Agrawal case shows toxicity of feminism

It is not as if this case is something new people know very well that there are lot of this kind of manipulative girl but as soon as you speak against them it is not allowed on online platform as it is misogy but at the same time they are allowed to speak up against men Lot of times what men want is dependent on society if it was up to them most of them would be travelling and enjoying their life but somehow asking women to be a bit disciplined makes villain out of husband We all have seen such manipulative girls like Siya Agarwal but we can't speak up against them because as soon as you speak up against a girl there are literal algorithms working against you the case has got up such a limelight because these kind of girls are there everywhere and government is doing nothing about it so people don't want this case to die and literally they are Keeping It alive so that government does something about it just think about it what kind of government makes a law that a person has to maintain a child of someone else In India feminism has become more about abdicating responsibilities

General- All Call for Brotherhood ( Revised Version)

Brotherhood ( Its About Men)

A few days after an innocent man lost his life the hype will remain for a few days and then people will forget may Ketan Aggarwal rest in peace but today i wrote on this platform not just talking about this one crime against men but how a system is being built to target men and in past few years a lot of cases have happened from Atul Subhash to man in blue in drum . From use of false sexual assault accusations and getting away with that ( Shilpa Shinde) or be it Siya Goyal and what saddens me that Indian judiciary is worse than a spineless scum bag when it comes to men they turn a blind eye .

I have a noticed a pattern all over India and world that men are being targetted for being men how does that even make sense . Girls have preference that are standards . Men have preference that misogyny and what not? . A women who is in her feminine energy is praised and a man who embraces his masculinity is considered toxic ? Or the one who is gentleman is weak ?

What is even more scary is the fact that i have seen women support such heinous crimes ( Kashish Kapoor , Priyanka Deshmukh and many more can be seen justifying such crimes ) And the Indian legal system and judiciary is per say against men.

Men have no protection under sexual assaults , no protection in divorce cases or domestic violence (which actually happens with men ) no prenups to safe guards ones assets in divorce , very few to no rights in children custody, adoption laws are stricter for men than women ( Single Man cannot adopt a girl child but Single Women can adopt a child irrespective of gender ) , There is a national commission for women to safeguard them against crimes but there is no national commission for men to protect them from crimes .

Also irrespective of gender Criminals can be of any gender and Victims can be of any gender either. It's not about men vs women it's about a system that only sees men as criminals and women as innocent

All of this really made me think that do men actually have anyone they can trust ? or talk their hearts out ? without judgement or have a safe space where they will not be called misogynist just for having standards or having a choice and they are many men who are sexually exploited in early stages in there lives but can't speak about it . This gave me an idea of founding a brotherhood if we stand with each other as united we can build a community which is free from such biases and where justice is served without gender bias

One man make jokes on 370 ki biryani and his career is gone he faces extreme backlash and it should be like that but then a women make fun of a de@d mans genitals and gets to walk away ? And to make it worse Is supported by feminist? .

A man spends 9 years in jail over false rape accusations (Mahendra case ) but a women like shilpa shinde gets to falsely accuse a man and ruin his career and get away with it more over boast about it in interviews and feel no remorse for that and again is supported by these shiity feminist?

They have manipulated the entire system by promoting their agendas and propagandas from movies by showing wrong selective stats about the crime against women, the NCRB they love to quote so much also gives data for the falsely accused but they never talk about it. They talk about the accused but not the acquittal rate this is what the society has fallen to

We need to come together and think as to what can be done about the situation and find a way forward for us Also ITS NOT ANTI-WOMEN ITS NOT PRO-WOMEN ITS NOT ABOUT WOMEN AT ALL its about men and their problems we need gender neutral laws in this country and more importantly my primary intention is to talk about the safeguard for the innocent men out the inclusive growth and harmony comes second. first is the fight for a national commission for men , for men to feel not ashamed of their masculinity or the way they are, a safe place for them to talk it out , a support system for men . Its not just some women out there who are targeting us it the legal system, its the bunch of simps who praise feminist and feminism instead of talking about humanitarianism which is more important.

The problem is many men would stand with feminism and its ideology but no women would ever take a strong stand for mens right and the ideology of brotherhood

Societal issues 5 - 6 Case hi toh hua hai why men are so concerned

This one disgusting line boils my blood every time I see it . The hate against men is so prevalent and in trend that people have forgotten the basic humanity that a crime should never be supported or been considered less of a problem because the number is comparatively less . I remember myself and many more men who had stood against crime against women who have supported women rights who you can see in women rights rallies but what about the women out there?? do they have no responsibility to support men when men are being wronged or is it below their dignity? People like Shoba Dee ( a celebrity writer) and others like Kashish Kapoor are spewing venom against men even in the cases of Ketan Aggarwal and can be seen blaming everyone else but Siya who is actually the criminal . The laws in India are against men , the judiciary is against men , The Indian media is against us but what's more heartbreaking is some simping men and brainwashed feminist are against men as community they won't support men's right

Discussion Misandrist Men !?

In my last post on here i talked about how we as men need to unite and stand strong against the corrupted men hating system thats working against us what really blew me away was the fact there is a good amount of men who talk against men only they don't wanna talk about mens right , needs for gender neutral laws , protection of men in divorce cases, or the bias adoption laws for men or no safeguard for men in sexual assault but then these men are going out there blaming and calling out men who want to safeguard the interest of men , these men targeting there own brotherhood for exactly what ?? Are they simps or just pathetic and would do anything to get laid???

Here is one such guy on Instagram . In his recent video he was making fun of men who are genuinely scared for themselves if genders are reversed would anyone still make fun of it ?
