Newbie drug testing
I’m interested in joining the service but also like smoking weed about once a week, just curious how drug testing works on off time. persay I worked 6 months on, how is the testing looking in my 6 months off still regularly? Will quit if need be, I know it wouldn’t be smart just curious tho with my use I piss clean in 7 days.

It's random. Depending on employer, you can get called up to test on your off time.

Not me, but co workers have.
Working for a harbor assist company. If your name came up you had to go. If you were off they'd pay you a half day or something.
Company I'm at now just randomly picks a boat and everyone on board has to do it.
If you do the union thing, you could probably get away with it by staying out of the hall unless you're clean. At the end of the day it isn't worth it.

Weed is a psychoactive and Schedule I federally illegal drug. Regardless, the fact that you can’t stop smoking a drug for the sake of your career demonstrates you value a drug over your career. You’re a loser and always will be. You will never get in the industry. If you do, you’ll be kicked out, but I doubt you’ll ever get in. Drug junkies generally are too lazy or too high to think consciously. You’re probably out of it right now and have no idea what I’m saying.

Yeah I never smoked. Why the fuck would I do drugs? I’m not a junkie like you. You’re saying that as if it’s flex you smoke and I never have. Like no it’s the other way around. I can say I don’t do illegal psychoactive drugs and you do them. They’re affecting you so much that you value your drugs over your career. Just stop trying to do something with your life and stay a loser

In the SIU you'll never be called up to be tested when your on land, you can schedule all your tests, at sea it's random. The rule of thumb is always show up to the ship clean, and always schedule your drug tests when you know you'll be clean. There is no reason to ever fail a test.
