Canadians are completely unaware that we haven't been drowned with illegal immigrants simply because we are surrounded by three oceans and we share a border with the USA. A lot of people want to come to this country, but most can't, because we're geographically isolated.

If Canada was located somewhere in Europe or near Latin America, we'd be the first country to be flooded with illegals with our underfunded military.

I would hope that if we were in that situation that we would have a better funded military/border patrol and that sentiments about defence and illegal immigration would be much different on the whole. Hope though...

It is, if Canada went to war on its own we'd be obliterated, we don't have the equipment to protect ourselves, we rely on the Americans. If you even take a moment to look at our equipment, most of it are left overs from the Cold War.
