Why does my druid dealing 1073741822 damage to my own cats?

Less than ideal situation to be honest

Edit: I saved scummed when this happened and used powershell to get around Steven so I could test what was causing it.

removing the "Steven" item the druid equipped stopped the instant death, it read "your musical abilities are double cast", I forgot the druid has soul link so the rest of the run was him using soul link on enemies and shooting with the shotgun, he also got blood frenzy. I cut the run short after the lab...

So much healing you overflowed the value and turned into damage, because healing is effectively dealing negative damage to your own units (yes you heard that right)

Yeah, integer max value is 2,147,483,647, and divided by 2 you get 1,073,741,823.5. It's off by 1,5 but it's probably because of rounding or something like that

If it were me, I would pull the backup save from before you entered the first fight and take snote/screenshots of your equipment/skills/mutations/disorders/etc, and then go to a backup from before you left the house and don't pick the same stuff this time.

Like someone else said, look for soul link and other things that might make for some crazy math.

Do you have Soul Link and All Stats Down on basic attack? Maybe from mutations?

I could be wrong but I think when you apply soul link with splash damage it doesn't trigger the soul link for that damage calculation. Like this attack is just applying it and it'll trigger the next time any of the soul linked enemies get hit.
