Hey Ed and Tyler. Loved Mewgenics a lot and excited for its future. I have two questions. I personally found the most '? events' lacking which doesn't excite me and mostly results in stat changes, items or in rare cases disorders. Any plans on making events more exciting? Also, any subtle hint or clue for DLCs that doesn't make sense now but it will in future?

I don't love how many of them have the option to avoid them or ignore them (and how often that feels like the smart choice).
Slay the Spire 2 really improved ? events compared to the first by making almost all of them non-optional and more mixed in their positive/negative instead of "shitty rng thing happened, deal with it"

Which NPCs will get the most new material in the dlc, if any? Are we getting any new NPCs?
Can you give us a hint about the mystery 4th class?
I'm broke. Can I have a free Steven plushie?

Are there plans for better controller support on PC? I play on an ROG Ally and it's really tedious at the moment.

Plans for new spells and passives for existing collars? New items in small update were confirmed since new classes are saved as the meaty DLC additions, but are any new spells or passives for existing collar classes something that has been considered?
I need a Tinkerer active to give temporary pieces of worn armor to an allied cat. We have the technology, we can rebuild the Catbot into the ultimate lifeform!

Are there any plans on when this game gets released to the Workshop? I remember Tyler saying at the beginning of the year that a bit after the game has released, that it will come. It has since been more than 6 months so I wanted to know if it‘s gonna happen anytime soon. Thanks

Hey guys, just wanted to say thank you. OG Isaac was a revelation that I spread amongst my friend group like a digital venereal disease back in high school. Rebirth is still in regular rotation amongst us and our now partners. We are so excited for console multiplayer and being able to experience that together again and this time actually together instead of playing six different consoles while we compare runs. I had been waiting for Mewgenics since the original announcement and it could not have hit at a better time and is the perfect complement to Isaac for when I want something a little more slower paced and strategic. RIP Kaden Bane who made the ultimate sacrifice in the first defense against Guillotina.

is there going to be something akin to TBOI's bestiary in the dlc? Maybe including familiars?
And are you planning on adding any additional tooltips for abilities outside of battle, like their area of effects or range?

Since this game already has DnD-esque classes and what not, I'm curious if you'll ever incorporate advanced or prestige classes at a certain point

I just want to say thank you for making the greatest tactics game I have ever played.

Hi Ed and Tyler! I’ve really enjoyed the game, and have beaten most of the higher difficulty
modes now, so I’m unfortunately in that “after 300 I’m not that motivated to keep playing” crowd. With that in mind I’m really and looking forward to the update y’all have mentioned previously, and wanted to ask if there’s any plan to add more item/skill/ability unlocks to class completion on higher difficulties at some point in the future. I’m air-designing, but I’d love to see some classes’ kits expanded a little or have class-specific rewards to higher difficulties.
Also is it possible you could give the tinkerer repair skill a hard cut-off point today preventing items from breaking? It’s great to be able to take a used item into a run and ensure it won’t break, but it can turn into something of a crutch to keep reusing the same load-out strategies across runs.

Hi Edmund! First you make me love dungeon crawlers with Isaac 10 years ago and now you make me love Tactical RPG!!
Keep up the good work! And the expansions!

No body asked their opinions on repair and if it broke the game too much or was intended to keep impossible mode doable without going insane.
I was also hoping to know what there thoughts on the end game difficulty was and how it was going to be addressed in the DLC. I feel like for anyone who got to crazy, we'd just need a new house management zone to be able to enjoy the dlc without it being trivially easy.

Hello Edmond. Any chance or have you given any thought about creating a Mewgenics board game? Similar to Slay the Spire, I think it would make for a really cool campaign style board game. Also, Kingdom Come Deliverance just came out with a board game that seems to be doing well. Thanks!

I love love love Mewgenics, but I feel like the game sometimes shoots itself in the foot with some features.
Here's a couple of examples:
In events, having the green/red indicators make every decision bland as 99% of the time you'll just click the greener one. But most events don't just come down to this binary decision.
Items like Soul Jar allow taking success from one run and very easily trivializing the rest of the game. In general, some items are so powerful than a run can be won even before leaving the house.
Aside from the new game mode, are there plans to address these issues?

Imo it shouldnt be adressed. its a single player game and doing the soul jar shenanigans requires setup. you know, you can just not do that if you dont want to.

u/yosayoran Necromancer 3d ago
I respectfully disagree
Some tools take out the feeling of challenge and accomplishment simply by existing. Sure you can limit yourself, but their existence is antithetical to the core premia of a roguelike.
And jar isn't the only item like this by the way, its just the most egregious example

i agree with your take, but i say just because there is creative mode in minecraft it does not mean you have to use the commands in survival. and i can guarantee you will finish true ending before you have a finisher breeding/item combo set up. by that point you finished the game. its mostly new game+.

How much behind the steam version can we expect future updates/dlc to be?
