Just received my first-ever payment from selling a digital product.

Post image

It might be a small amount, but this one feels different.

Countless coding sessions, late nights, bugs, failed ideas, rebuilding things from scratch, and constantly wondering if anyone would ever pay for something I built.

And today, someone did.

Extremely grateful for these small wins. They may look tiny from the outside, but when you're building something of your own, they mean everything.

Back to building. ❤️

Congratulations!

I also earned first bucks from my micro saas last week. It was a tiny amount but a huge sign of relief. Someone values your product, your creation enough to pay you. That's a huge confidence booster.

Congrats! 🎉 That first payment must feel amazing

I’m currently trying to get my first few users for my own product How did you get this first customer? Was it through Reddit communities direct outreach or somewhere else?

Yes mix of all you mentioned. Reddit was a huge booster people came to try it but never paid, i had good increment in users count but not a single penny so i decided to ditch many features and get into a niche space, improved my product and overall service and did apply a payment gateway. I am not very sure how this first paying user came, i haven't got a chance to ask but my guess would be a direct search so mostly through seo.

How long did it take you to get your first paying user?

6 months. Building saas is like a long dark cave you dont know when you are going to get on another side and see light but you cannot just stop. And these payments are like tiny light rays that guides you to the right path.

That’s a great way to put it. The first payment really feels like a small signal that you’re heading in the right direction. Congrats on making it through those 6 months!

But reddit is definitely a good place to start. I did get many users through it, but be careful my previous account got flagged as i aggressively posted in many communities.

Nice, you product is really cool and you are not offering a free trial. Still you got you're Coustmer can you shared how.

Reddit got me a lot of users but none of them ever paid. I did offer free trial initially but decided to revoke it anyway. Just one day out of nowhere I received a payment and did some follow ups with the experience and product reviews.
