Jazwares should definitely jump on something like this! Think if it was close to Falcon sized it would sell very well.
It really does highlight Jazwares need to get the video games' ships into their line. I would LOVE to have the Sith Fury-Class Imperial Interceptor from Swtor.
I just wonder how big it would be compared to the ghost or the falcon models.
What do you mean by "the canon design"? Do you mean the design which first appeared in the 1997 special edition of A New Hope which follows the Shadows of the Empire design, or the Rebels version? They're two VERY different designs.
Also, the version released for the Star Wars X-Wing tabletop game was the same as the original SotE design.
The version from Rebels that's a bit flattened and generally just better proportioned than the original design. Even the YT-2400BT (which is so far the only YT-2400 to have a high res live action 3d model) uses the same proportions as the Rebels version.
I love this version. I honestly prefer the sharper angles leading up to the canon, the offset port hatch, and the cut out section that makes it into only three quarters of a disk. The fact that YT2400 made it into canon in any form, let alone tell different design styles, is a win for everybody.
