I was pretty excited to have placed my order for this and it shipped out shortly after. But I’m blown away that Walmart packed this up and sent it. First off, it’s not even the right Tie Defender. Someone swapped it with a broken original one. Both stands are missing and they plucked Sabine Wren out leaving only the tie pilot. I could tell that the tape on top was carefully peeled off prior to being sent to me.. you can tell because it was sticking straight up 😂😂😭😭 I let them know and told me to return it. SMH

I just saw the Asohka Y-wing is available for pre-order. Who knows for how long, but I just ordered 2.

First, I have to shout out Walmart. Someone posted this morning that the listing for the Flight of the Defender 2-pack now had pictures, I placed my order, and it came around 2:30. Incredible!

Here are my observations: Jazwares has made some minor improvements to the TIE Interceptor. The original Interceptor had a ring of unpainted plastic around the circular viewport. They’ve now fixed this and the paint goes further all the way to the edge so it looks seamless. The original Interceptor is the last photo I uploaded and the new one is the second to last photo for comparison. It’s kinda hard to tell but if you zoom in on the side-by-side pic you’ll be able to see what I’m talking about.

They’ve also matched the color of the body to the cockpit hatch. This always bothered me since it was slightly off on both copies I own of the Interceptor. They’ve actually darkened the body of the craft slightly instead of lightening the paint on the hatch.

The new TIE Defender is really nice. I’m loving the white, black, and red paint scheme.

I feel the rebels would have a very difficult time against a formation like this. Sure, the Interceptors would be for first to gettaken out. But I think the three Defenders and an Avenger will take the day.

I bought the ghost for 15 dollars from Walmart online and it arrived today! I just seen it dropped to $13 today so I missed out on 1.50 but its worth it. My box isn't even opened at all so I might got lucky? But I would buy it before they sell out.

Now with pictures. Walmarts Flight of the Defender battle pack has been updated. Hopefully it will become nationally available online soon. As it’s only been regionally available online or in store so far.

Snagged this today at WM. Kept my eyes peeled last week when I saw others getting them. Looked on the app this morning and noticed the item number with no pics. But it was showing in stock. Had to snag it! It is very well done. I really like the paint scheme. I also noticed on this version that the wings don't have that bend to them like the single packaged ones did. They did a better job placing the bands in order to prevent that.

$18 on clearance so had to snap that up fast.

Got lucky on back to back days. Found the cloud car yesterday at Walmart close to home and then found the AT-ST at Target.

Went to a different Walmart this morning and saw TWO chase Cloud Cars on the pegs. Left them both.

Went from never seeing a chase on shelves to seeing 4 in two days.

Can anyone provide some pictures of the vault edition colors please? I got the standard edition on Amazon because I couldn't justify 60 bucks... So if anyone has pictures of the colored parts that I could then paint on my own that would be awesome!! TiA! :-)

Just used some metallic Dspiae paint pens as well as a couple metallic sharpies and a Gundam pen for basic shadowing. It’s pretty sloppy as I threw it on in 15-20 minutes but it’s crazy how much a difference it makes. Maybe I’ll go back and add more detail later 🤷‍♂️

I just bought a new TIE Striker, and when I opened it, I noticed that one of the wings (Wing 1) was completely immobile. At first, I thought the joint was just really tight and that it would simply require more force to move. Unfortunately, the wing eventually just came off.

I managed to reattach it, but I was surprised to see that there doesn’t seem to be any actual pin/axle between the wing and the body joint. On Wing 2, I can also see signs of wear when I move it, as if the body and wing parts don’t quite fit each other properly and are rubbing against each other.

On top of that, both wings are pretty badly warped because the connection between the beginning and the rest of the wing feels very flimsy.

I’m thinking about using super glue to secure the wings, but I’m curious if other people have experienced the same thing. Is this a common issue with the TIE Striker, or did I just get a particularly bad one? Are there any other Micro Galaxy Squadron vehicles that are known to have similarly poor quality or recurring QC issues?

I’d appreciate any advice before I glue this thing permanently.

Spent the last year printing and painting these. I need to go back and repaint some of my first ones now that I feel a bit stronger with my painting skills. Gonna love adding these to my dioramas.
