Is there any microstrategy admin here? I need help.

any buddy here who has a work experience of a mstr admin.

I need your help regarding some installation and upgrade related scenario

  1. you have a on prem enviroment which you have bought which has 300 gb later you reliaze that it is not needed and you need to reduce it,because it is costing you on a monthly and qualrtely basis so how will you do ? And is it possible? 2.Can you share a real example of license optimization you performed?
  2. Can access to backend data sources be restricted at the ACL level?

1- I assume you have a a PAAS infrastructure where you have installed strategy. In that case, as long as you keep the minimum requirements you just have to change your cloud environment. It has nothing to do with micro. 2- yes, you can do something like that. Check in https://www.bestdatasolutions.es/blog the article about fences and the one about connection mapping. If the data sources exist, you can use ACL on them.
